Thanks...I guess? Not really sure how Kentucky winning the NC makes you believe that anyone can win a national championship. Lilley is a generational type player and the Skinner sisters are absolute studs. Kentucky had weapons at every position and this was the year after losing their highest ranked recruit up until 2017. You make it seem like Kentucky won with a group of walk ons/underrated recruits lol My reasoning is, before Kentucky won it this year, you could count how many schools won the NCAA women's VB title on two hands. And after Washington won it in 2005, it's just been basically Nebraska, Stanford and Penn St, with Texas playing several times for the title and winning it once within that span. Even if Kentucky had all the weapons they needed to win this particular year, I'm sure that type of lightning in a bottle could happen for other schools that have yet to win the title, too. So if you feel that I am saying Kentucky is "a group of walk ons/underrated recruits", then you're wrong. I highly doubt that a team consisted only of "walk ons/underrated recruits" could win the N.C. title. This makes no sense.

My advice to Kentucky fans: Just enjoy your moment in the sun. You earned it. Enjoy it. But stop losing sleep and endless squabbles about whether this means it's the start of a dynasty. Yes, you've still got the major pieces of an excellent team going forward. But you're going to find out that you're really going to miss the pieces you're losing, and how much the remaining pieces don't quite have that same magic you just saw in the NC. Lilley was indeed the magic-maker. Her athleticism, ball-delivery, decision-making, and leadership essentially choreographed the entire team into a high-speed power ballet. They drew on her energy and amped up their own. You'll find out soon enough how significant that was. Ask those who experienced Poulter, SSS, and Carlini, and who saw the before-and-after effects. As I said, enjoy, savor the moment. lol "savor the moment" but here's a list of reasons why it won't happen again to you Savoring the moment means getting excited about what this means for the program. Look at all of the player interviews after the game -- almost all of them said "UK will win another one" or "this is huge for the UK program." If you don't like it, go back to the Hawaii thread. But only bitter trolls would suggest that "savoring the moment" doesn't mean getting excited for the future, especially given how rare it is for a new program to win the Championship. He is not a Hawaii fan. That said, he isn’t wrong. Championships are hard to win. That is why only 11 programs have won it. And Kentucky is losing its two most valuable players in Lilley and Curry.

Each year's championship thread has so much bickering. Hilarious. Amen, Cruz'n. You know it's bad when you compliment them on their victory, tell them how great their team played and what a once-in-a-generation player they got to experience, and even offer them some sincere life wisdom (enjoy your deserved moment and don't get into squabbles about what the future does or doesn't hold)...and they call you a "bitter troll". Whoaaa. Perhaps I should have added that someone might benefit from a VT timeout?

There shouldn’t be any arguing. Kentucky is better than every team in the ncaa for the 2021 spring season. That has been documented. That’s the end of the story. I’m sorry if your team wasn’t good enough

I’m sorry if your team wasn’t good enough The two best teams played in the final. The better team won. You’re right, it’s just that simple sometimes.

People are dragging all these weird excuses and comparisons left and right. We all just watched one of the most competitive nc matches in history. We saw a level of vb that has been shown only a handful of times in collegiate ball. We saw history being made. If you’re a fan of volleyball, you should be happy. Regardless of who you were rooting for
