Ah...such a breath of fresh air! The Big Ten Fall 2021 Argument Thread.
Are there "Yes, I did!" "No, you didn't!!" buttons on here somewhere? It would make things go faster.

I “constantly” tell people they’re wrong because they’re not head coaches” I’m no going to say “you’re a damn liar” because frankly that’s melodramatic and I try not to be prone to sweeping overstatements. But if I constantly do that please share a single instance when I said someone was wrong because they aren’t a head coach. That shouldn’t be hard given my constant use of that. In the cases related to this I have said that the coaches in question are more qualified as they are seeing these athletes daily, and it does give them a more qualified “opinion”. The coaches who see these athletes routinely during matches and scouting, many who are among the best in the country clearly felt Roddy was the best of the bunch. I agree with that “opinion” Just so you know I don’t default to coaches, I disagree with a few other choices mainly Caffey and Stivrins. As I said, I think you’re a knowledgeable poster and I respect your opinion. No need to go back through thread after thread to find examples. You do this a lot. Like a lot a lot. It’s kind of your thing. Own it. until it no longer fits his narrative

It’s kind of your thing. Own it. Zero problems owning something accurate. Of the millions of incidents, not one cited? Again the comment levied was that I say coaches are always right given their experience and fact they see way more play. I’ve never said it once, let alone “ a lot, a lot” or “constantly” thats “fake news” Back to nicknames.

The hyperbole and changing the parameters to fit one specific phrase instead of the overall intonation of many of your posts feels like a desperate way to deflect. No one ever said a million, really? But that many posts wouldn’t surprise me because the other thing you constantly do is feel the need to get the last word in. Again, it’s your thing.

Looks like they spread the love this year. But dang Caffey got slapped in the face with a Sportmanship Award. Yikes. WHAT DOES THE SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD EVEN MEAN “ya sorry we didn’t put u on a team but here’s a bone?” As someone that played in the Big Ten recently - yes, that is exactly what it means. Pretty sure the coach nominates the athlete that gets this. For some schools, it went to the walk on that probably should have been on scholarship and out-worked the other kids. Let's give everyone a ribbon these days...

The only approved nicknames are the Nuts and Cheeseweasels. Everything else is up for discussion. *squirrel enters the chat* If we are going to give me this much freedom I propose the following: Minnesota: Squirrels Purdue: Choo-choos Nebraska: CORN Maryland: Turtles Northwestern: Nerds Those are my more consistent ones… I can get creative if need be

personally I prefer Whiskey or is that something else 😉 Look, I'm not trying to write War and Peace here. I need to abbreviate Wisconsin because I don't want to spend half my life typing up that word. I need answers and I need them now. Thank you for your help in my time of need. And no, rampageripster "cheeseweasel" is right out. That's longer than the original word. Oi.
