Look no further than Kentucky's past few non-cons for a lesson on how to schedule "tough." What are you talking about? Kentucky's Non-Conference strength of schedule 2017 - #5 2018 - #5 2019 - #26 Even in the #26 year, they had 4 Top-25 teams and 7 total top-50 teams to rack up significant out-of-conference victories.

Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska twice. Maryland, Rutgers, MSU, once. That's Purdue twice and Penn State once.

Penn State overslept. Wisconsin still a little embarrassed. Penn State is "fashionably" late. Saving the best for last!

Penn State has to jump through extra committee approval before they release any of their athletics schedules. That’s okay. But it also doesn’t preclude us from dropping a few memes.
13 teams dropped Big Ten schedules today, and one put out a #WeAre.
#WeAre disappointed you couldn’t join us today, beloved Nittany Lions. #WeAre lost without you.

I'm gonna be super bummed if Pitt isn't on Penn State's pre-conference schedule this season (they had a home/home in 2019...hopefully they can do that again)

Well I'm excited to be able to plan out my road matches this season. PointHawks and hawkfan , I'll be coming to Xtream Arena on October 2 and will be looking for some local dining recommendations.

Is there any history as to how long it takes a schedule to clear this committee?

We've got what looks to be a season-opening series for Illinois. The Illini will kick off their season in Milwaukee at the Panther Invitational. First match of the year is against Milwaukee (unless there's a hidden doubleheader). UC Santa Barbara is there, too, so we can perhaps anticipate a matchup against the Gauchos.
See here.
