Otec though is deserving Uh... she was the leading point scorer in the B1G in the spring. 4th in kills per set, above TTM (5th), Sun (6th), Pritchard (8th). 2nd in aces per set. I'm not trying to make Newton happen. She already happened on her own, but please continue to give us your wrong opinions.

I would put Newton on there over Pritchard or Landfair.
Newton takes significantly more OOS swings (and swings in general) than any other pin in the conference because of Purdue's system, of course her HP isn't going to be great.
Not like Pritchard's was very inspiring either.

I feel Pritchard in a Penn State system will be better than Newton in Purdue’s system

I feel Pritchard in a Penn State system will be better than Newton in Purdue’s system It’s interesting how much better players become as soon as they appear associated with Penn State. idk what point you’re even trying to make but Id imagine her numbers would be better when she’s surrounded by significantly better teammates, blossom/hord creating 1 on 1s for her, less of a load for her to shoulder etc. You don’t have to be very bright at volleyball to understand that difference.

Yeah, thanks. I’m not real bright. Penn State has more talent than the rest of the league and this will surely allow all the transfers a good shot at All-America honors.

Touring the Big10, we can now share the team goals we've seen written on some of the locker room walls. * Win another National Title * Win our first National Title * Win the Big10 * Improve and move up * Move into the top 5 * Improve and move up * Stay out of the bottom 5 Did Steve Aird write the last one? No, he's got his own sign, "Available for hire!"

not a good comparison. Newton has better setting plus has other actual offensive threats on her team. Pritchard was completely on her own Newton took over 3 swings/set more than Pritchard did. Is she on her own? Personally, I’ve always liked Pritchard, she’s a very high quality player, but Newton getting more attempts per set really just means that Purdue’s defense is better than Maryland’s (it is). Purdue had the ability to keep the ball off the ground than Maryland as evidenced by Purdue’s 16 digs per set v. Maryland’s 12. 4 more digs per set usually means 4 more attacks per set.

If you go by percentages, Pritchard took a little over 32% of Maryland's attempts. Newton was closer to 35% of Purdue's.
