1) Congrats to Mississippi State making it into the Big Dance. While I REALLY wanted y’all here in Atlanta I can’t wait to cheer you on ALLLLLLL the way across the Country. I feel y’all got disrespected and thrown as far as they could see. Use it for your advantage. Flight booked, hotel booked, drinks on deck. 2) How did Ole Miss make it in (not even last 4 in) and Arkansas get shut out? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for them and their success but it just seems oh so wrong. 3) Hawaii is on the clock!!!!! Their fans smack talking already and Cinderella is not ready to leave the ball just yet! 4) Florida hosting 🧐🧐🧐 That is crazy! Some of these decisions were simply based on past levels of performance and not this particular year. Miami will be looking to upset them in round 2! 5) Is there some kind of AA recovery group for us senior volleyball dads? Like, how can this be the end? My next daughter is only 8. What am I supposed to do? 😭😭😭

Is there ever such a thing as just being happy for your own team anymore? Does shade always have to be involved? Of course, these are rhetorical questions.

(I texted Skinner congrats btw.)

Congrats to all the SEC teams that made the tournament. I'm very happy for my Gamecocks. I will never forget the look on their faces when 4 time All-SEC player Mikayla Robinson went down with a gruesome knee injury against Ole Miss. The team was devastated. They were swept by Ole Miss. And then swept, at home, by Bama. I thought the season was over. And then the next match they beat Kentucky. KENTUCKY! Something no other SEC team could do in 17 tries. In fact, Kentucky swept 9 out their last 10 opponents, except South Carolina. It's one of the most improbable victories I can ever remember as a Gamecock fan. I watched the replay this weekend and I still can't tell you how they did it. Kentucky didn't play their best, but still....it was a clutch performance by Carolina. This team played their way into the tournament. And South Carolina did not keep any other SEC team out. Just the opposite: they HELPED Ole Miss make the tournament. Every team in the conference benefited from Carolina's top 50 RPI rating. 2 out of Ole Miss' 3 top 50 RPI victories came against Carolina. Without those victories, Ole Miss doesn't make it. I don't know if Tom Mendoza will be able to repeat his OOC scheduling magic next season, but that's the goal. It should be the goal of EVERY SEC coach. That's how we continue to elevate this conference. Sorry if this turned into a rant. I'm passionate about my team as I'm should everyone else is about theirs.

I forgot all about Robinson...makes the Kentucky match that much more impressive. I would think that was a huge boost for them! I still question the 6-12 record but that's got nothing to do with S Carolina; I'd feel the same no matter who it is. Congratulations on getting in and enjoy the moment! It's such a cool atmosphere to be in so soak it all in!! Best of luck!!

Well, it's only obvious because you've been obsessed with it for a few days now. Chillllll...I'm happy for them! Wish it was LSU! It's not them its the process. I've been very chill. You've been a bit antagonistic towards other SEC teams and players lately. I get being upset about your daughter (great player who certainly had an argument to get more recognition) and LSU not making the tournament, but I think when posters from other conferences even pick up on the bitterness, it's an issue. Maybe take a note from trainermch's book. Idk, I just don't understand it when we are still very much an underdog conference with like 10-15 fans on this board, why we would be so vicious towards each other's teams. If you're an SEC fan, you should be thrilled South Carolina (and Ole Miss) made the tournament. It's good for the conference!

I agree that I think its great for the conference! I'm sorry I hurt your feelings...but what you don't get is this has nothing to do with S Carolina per say. I'm not antagonistic toward any other SEC teams; it's just my opinion how the tournament selections are made; nothing more than that. I used S Carolina as an example (which I get upsets you) because of conference record but it could be any team in any other conference; ie Iowa State or Texas Tech if that makes you feel a little better. Again, I'll say congrats to SC for getting in! I thought Arkansas should have gotten in too; again just my opinion which means absolutely nothing. Here's a question maybe you can answer for me because I'm too dumb for all this RPI stuff. Why is it you have to have a .500 record to be NCAA eligible but not have a .500 record in your own conference. It's a serious question so if you can explain I'd appreciate it.
Your comment about being antagonistic to other players...could not be further from the truth. Someone said Beavin has a 2.3 pass rate which I think is phenomenal; but again my opinion is there is more to LOY than this single stat. I've also been on record as saying McKissock is deserving as well. Again, my opinion! As far as my daughter and being bitter??? Damn straight!! If that's an issue to anyone...well I don't really care!

Is there ever such a thing as just being happy for your own team anymore? Does shade always have to be involved? Of course, these are rhetorical questions. I mean, to be fair, the entire SEC fanbase has been pretty anti-UK this year. So my empathy level is pretty low... Recently, I think it had to do with Mississippi State challenging for the conference title. That's about like Vandy in contention for the SEC football title. Of course, most SEC fans are going to root for Vandy over Bama in that situation. Now that the NCAA tournament is starting, I'm in full SEC honk mode. I'm can't speak for anyone else, but I'll certainly be rooting for all the SEC teams, including the Wildcats.
