Position by position, these teams are very even. It honestly depends on chemistry and which team in on a roll on the day. DIllon Klein and Ben Coordt are both very good players and leaders, and I believe Costa might have slightly more depth, but it is almost insignificant, considering if Klein went down then Cooper Robinson or Owen Loncar could just fill in for him. These 2 are powerhouses this year that could beat basically any club team. I would actually give the advantage to Loyola because of how weak Mira Costa's opposites are. I completely agree though, no club team would stand a chance against either of these teams. Only exception maybe is MB Surf or Rockstar if they are playing well. I can say with absolute certainty that Mira Costa's outsides would %*$# on Rockstar's outsides.

Loyola already beat Costa and plays Newport Harbor today at Newport that’s a big match. Loyola plays costa on Saturday for the second time. I personally think Loyola is better than Costa because Costa’s oppos and middles don’t match up well to Loyola’s the only position in which costa is better than Loyola is maybe libero.

Right on. That's good for the kids. In Hawai'i there is no state championships and not all leagues are even playing. Some boys have missed out on almost two seasons, half of their high school career :/ at least OIA and ILH are holding their own respective championships this year. sucks that not even on senior night that parents can't go and watch the game. hawaii has really sucked when it comes to athletics this year. no spectators even though other states who have way worse covid numbers, are allowed to have spectators. it hurts to see that happen to today's youth.

I think Loyola is better at the top end of their team, but Costa has players like Max Gordon and Mick Bakos on the bench. Loyola's opposites are both top D1 recruits, and Chaz Wedbush and Mason Johnson cannot compete with Loncar and Robinson. That was clear after the last match.
