In my opinion, if Florida wants to compete and go deep in the tournament next season, they shall go after Maggie Mendelson and one graduate setter. They shall not take any risk like this season with an unexperienced setter in case Stucky is not 100% recuperated at the beginning of the season. Stucky injury was very serious and I dont want them to bring her too early that could affect her career later on, or Florida having a top setter for a few more years. Having a middle/RS like Mendelson is a luxury and having an experience setter is a very good option too. In the portal is a few very good setters, like the one from Georgia Tech and Argentina Ung from Washington State. What you guys think? Texas, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Stanford arre coming hard and very well prepared  Unless you are talking at the division 1 level I don’t think inexperienced is the best description of Muff. She was quite experienced at the level she came from and played quite well for Florida when thrown into the ring. Yeah, it would be great to have a proven effective division 1 backup, but just saying. |

For me Muff was never at level Div 1 player, besides not receving the coaching she need it.

for me Thomas should go to the transfer portal. She is not the middle Florida need. she will be similar than Danielle King, but less talented for my opinion. If florida has the chance to bring Mendelson I wont think it twice. She coud be an extraordinary addition to the team for sure Darrielle* If you're going to criticize someone for their loyalty to the program, spell their name right. |

I think you understood my point. I was not criticizing Darrielle King, and sorry if I misspell her name. Im referring at the time she played Even though for me Darrielle was a better middle than Thomas.

For me Muff was never at level Div 1 player, besides not receving the coaching she need it. This “never at level Div 1 player” did pretty okay in a 5-set loss after being thrown in possibly the most emotional moment at that point of the season. Losing the last 3 sets -21 -22 -13 is more than respectable. I’d go out on a limb and say this “never at level Div 1 player” kept up with her supposed higher level counterpart on the other side of the net. Also, it wasn’t just any Div1 opponent, btw. |

This person can step right off. Muff did a more than respectable job. Florida’s passing was too inconsistent, the left pin attacking was way too inconsistent, and the middle wasn’t nearly a threat after Dixon went down. Muff was admirable, a fierce competitor, and figured it out with Martin (2nd team AA). |

Just hopping Essix is not hitting the portal. We need her expertise for sure. If so, Florida has a problem that needs to be investigated ASAP. Too many good players leaving is not a good signal for a top program like Florida

Are you a troll? it’s very confusing. Also, there isn’t worry about the transfers right now. We have two top MB prospects, a setter, and a highly touted OH coming in. Not surprising that there wasn’t room for Sofia and Nnedi. This isn’t the same as losing Beason and Kelley. The culture shifted for the better and players likely to not see playing time are going elsewhere. |
