Gators fans giving a very nice standing ovation for the South Florida pitcher who finally exits in the 7th inning after giving up just 3 runs the entire regional. Very respectful.
Tied 9-9 in Georgia/Duke game. The 2pm Regional Finals are now starting. 9 games at once!

Georgia just hit a two-out, two-run single to tie the game at 9-9 in the bottom of the fifth.

Liberty has cut the lead to 6-4 and have the tying runs on base. Alexander is coming out of the bullpen...I'm a little confused by this, since they said she also started the game? Ordinarily in baseball (at least in MLB), once you get substituted, you're out of the game forever. Softball must be different. Softball has a re-entry rule and also a DP/flex-position rule. It's a little more complicated. You can re-enter the game once, but it has to be at the same spot in the batting order. You can have a left-fielder only playing defense (flex) and a DP only playing offense as well. A DP can't be playing only defense though. A flex player can't be playing only offense (kind of like a 10th spot). Interesting. Thanks for the explanation. I was a little confused when Alexander was batting an inning or so earlier also.

Left field tends to be one of the least valuable defensive positions, at least in baseball.

James Madison just hit a two-run bomb to extend their lead to 8-4 in the top of the sixth.

First Super Regional is set:
Unseeded Georgia at #4 Florida.
In 2016, #16 Georgia was sent to #1 Florida in the Super Regionals and went 2-0. In the second game, they won with a pinch-hit walk-off HR to go to the WCWS as the designated home team in the 2nd game of the SRs.

James Madison advances to their second consecutive super regional and third overall with a 8-5 win over Liberty. Considering that they're getting the winner of the Missouri regional and not one of the real powerhouses, I have to like the Dukes' chances of advancing to their first WCWS.

Regionalization is really a shame. They gave Mizzou an awful 2-seed in Iowa State. Mizzou isn't even getting challenged. Meanwhile, teams like Wichita State and Clemson have just brutal paths to the Super Regionals.

I didn't realize that James Madison only has one loss all year. I guess they must not be in the toughest conference, but still.

Oklahoma State just hit a grand slam and now have a 10-2 lead over Mississippi State. Also, Louisiana is up 2-0 on LSU in the fifth.

LSU hit a drive deep to left field that went all the way to the warning track to just miss a three-run homer. Instead, it's an out, and Louisiana still leads 2-0.

Louisiana defeats LSU 2-0 to set up a decisive game between the two teams to start in about 45 minutes. Also, Oklahoma State and FSU advance.

#1 Oklahoma decides to give the starting nod to a pitcher who has only pitched 17 innings all season. It's her FIRST start of the season. What a move.
Wichita State now leads 3-0. Only 1 out, B1st. She has to get pulled at this point.
They had a run thrown at the plate, but get another hit to the wall to take a 4-0 lead for the Shockers.
