UCLA's Rachel Garcia has a WHIP of just 0.60? Wow, that's pretty good.

Virginia Tech takes an early 2-0 lead with a two-out triple off the wall in right center. The batter got her eighth straight hit going back to the regional.

They looked really good in Tempe last weekend, pitching + offense combo. UCLA has a true pitching staff though — even as elite as Garcia is, the two behind her are very good. VTech’s dropoff is pretty significant after their ace.

UCLA's defense has not been great in this game to say the least. Then again, they also have zero hits.

UCLA had a whopping five errors to go with a number of other defensive miscues that weren't official errors. Virginia Tech wins 7-2.

Virginia Tech continues to look very dangerous. Rochard isn't completely untouchable, as she's given up multiple runs in every game of the postseason. But she's not getting lit up (just 2 or 3 runs in each game), and the offense has given her a lot of run support, so that's a tough combination to beat.

Alabama just hit a bases-clearing triple to go ahead 3-2. Kentucky's pitcher retired the first 10 batters of the game.. then... everything changed.

Washington's head coach (and the announcers seem to agree) is upset about the distance between the chalk of the batters box and home plate. There is supposed to be six inches between. Before the game started, she was questioning the distance.
Washington's ace has hit 3 batters in the 1st inning alone, she's only hit 10 all season.
Oklahoma up 1-0.

Wow, Kentucky had the bases loaded down 4-3 with two outs in the top of the seventh and a full count. Strikeout looking to end the game.

Washington's pitcher just found a dollar bill in the chalk of the pitching circle. WTF is going on?
