Hmm, seems like it's all up to the discretion of the umpires, and if they said it's fine (or just didn't care), then I think Washington is just stuck. I've seen some of their fans clamoring online for a "no game" to be declared, but I think the odds of that are pretty close to zero percent. And honestly, not that it's right, but I think this issue is arguably less disruptive than that absurd strike zone that was called in that one ASU game. And there's absolutely nothing that can be done about an umpire's ridiculous strike zone, which is why I have long advocated for the arrival of the robot umps. Yeah. Washington either had to protest prior to game or they were just stuck. A really bad look if this was done intentionally. I mean, I can't see how it wasn't? There's a template for this. How do you mess it up?

Meanwhile, Oklahoma State just hit back-to-back bombs to move ahead of Texas 4-1, and Georgia has a 1-0 on Florida.

UGA up 1-0 on Florida headed to T7th.
Fun rivalry here. Georgia knocked out UF when they were the #1 overall seed in a Super-Regional in 2016.

Wowza. 4-0 Georgia after a huge 3-run HR for some insurance.
We already have a #10 seed and an unseeded team up 1-0 in the Supers. Georgia would now make it a 2nd unseeded team up 1-0 in the Supers.

Wow, bottom of the seventh, Florida State tied the game 2-2 on a passed ball, but then they tried a squeeze play, and LSU cut the runner down at the plate. LSU then got the next batter out on a popup, and the game is now heading to extra innings.

I see a lot of people (even a couple commentators on ESPN) complain about how the visiting team in a Super Regional is the designated home team in Game 2. How the 'host' team should be home all three games. That's so lame. This is a postseason tournament.
If you're the higher seed, and you can't get win 2/3 in a series where you are the designated home team (and host team) for two of three games, you don't deserve to advance in the tournament.

LSU takes the lead with a solo shot in the top of the eighth, but Florida State answered with a solo shot of their own to send it to the ninth tied at 3-3.

This one and the Arkansas/Arizona are weird for me to root for. Usually I root for the underdog, but LSU is maligned and many didn't think they deserved a Top 8 seed with 20(!) losses. Arizona is the underdog seed, but they're a softball powerhouse. Arkansas is a nobody in WCWS terms.

2x NPOY Rachel Garcia does not get the start in an elimination game for #2 UCLA. I actually get the decision, but it's just crazy when you think about it. Defending national champions on the brink.

A fun fact: Virginia Tech has made the WCWS before. It came when they had an absolute stud ace pitcher, not unlike their situation now w/ Rochard.
Angela Fincher was her name. She threw a *no-hitter* as Virginia Tech beat Team USA in an epic upset match. USA had won 185 non-Olympic straight matches.

Florida State walks it off in the bottom of the ninth with a hit to left field.

Florida State walks it off in the bottom of the ninth with a hit to left field. We love walk-offs on the opposition home field. Especially to go to the WCWS.

As expected, JMU-Mizzou is a pitchers duel.
UCLA coach looking like a genius for not starting their ace. UCLA up 2-0 -T4th.

LOL - JMU's pitcher breaks up Mizzou's no-hitter in the top 7th to leadoff the inning. Gotta love it! Go Dukes!
