The last 90 seconds of the game took 33 real time minutes.
There were as many reviews (5) as field goals (5) in that span.
100% True
Ridiculous

I think if it's a Bucks/Suns Finals, I might actually watch. I've liked Booker and Giannis for a while, despite not really watching the NBA anymore. And either the Suns winning their first title ever or the Bucks winning their first title since 1971 when they had Kareem (my pick for the second-best basketball player behind only Michael Jordan) is actually pretty compelling to me. On the other hand, a final involving either the Lakers or Nets would have been a hard pass.

Clippers will pull it off after being down 0-2 again! Are you a Clippers fan? I would have thought you were a Lakers fan like most of LA.

But in general, I don’t care as much for professional sports as much as I do for college. But we always like the underdog if no other interest — even moreso when they have to come back.

I guess I can see just rooting for a longer series and rooting for underdogs. It's kind of weird for me to think about the Suns as the favorites, given their history, both recent and going back decades. I like that their team was mostly built organically. They drafted Booker and Ayton, and they traded for Chris Paul when he was already in his mid-30s. It reminds me of how teams were built back in the 90s when the NBA was my favorite sport.

It’d be weird thinking about the Clippers being a favorite given their history! 🤣They’ve never even been to the NBA Finals! But point taken. I won’t hate at all if the Suns win it all. At least azvb will be happy.

Though that was mostly because of their terrible ownership and front office situation. They still have the natural geographic advantages. Also, I guess I'm pro-Phoenix mostly because of Booker, as I've always thought he got an unfair rap for why the team wasn't better in his first few seasons.

Identical scenario happens late in the Clippers-Suns game, but this time, they choose not to look at it. I think it would have been overruled again.
Both teams have completely blown opportunities this game.

Suns are now one game from the Finals. Also, 84-80 was the final? That's the kind of score I remember in the early 2000s.

That game was not pretty, but I’ll take it. Seemed like no one could score for like 5 minutes.

The announcers chalked it up to good defense on both teams... dunno if that's completely fair. Suns never trailed, but I'd like to see how many shots the Clippers had to take the lead. It had to be in double digits.

The two teams were a combined 9 of 51 (17.6%) from beyond the arc. Yeah, that's how you end up with an 84-80 final score.

It had to be in double digits. SportsCenter said the Clippers were 0-12 on shots to take the lead in the fourth quarter. I stopped watching the NBA in large part because of the lack of defense (in large part because of the way the refs call the games). Maybe this was an example of good defense. Or maybe they were just clanking threes. Edit: Judging by the highlights I'm seeing (not all of them--just what they're playing during interviews), a lot of those threes looked pretty open.
