That's what I'd say about the US also. Having a 3-way setting battle play out DURING the Olympics would not help Team USA. I don't think extra roster spaces would help the US. I think it does. Carlini is the better setter overall to Hancock (and has the most experience) and Hancock's serve can be used situationally (Hancock relegated to the serving sub role... which is what she'll probably be besides the doub sub) USA wouldn't have to make it or break it with Poulter. I think SWP could be offense that would be used if needed and USA wouldn't have to place all of their bets on MBH or hope for a Kim Hill revival. What gives Karch so much confidence in Poulter? I mean yes, she's good. Not questioning her overall talent. BUT even a good setter can have an off-day. I mean, as good as Poulter is she is not perfect. She has been known to falter at crunch times on a few occasions. Can Hancock really step up on those occasions? I still have doubts on that.

the only bad thing about @avid is that ...... EVERYTHING happens in Central Time. ET/PT my brain just converts faster for some reason, no matter what coast I'm on. I guess CT is better than putting everything in MT.

the ones not selected to tokyo/alternates (the 5 including Lowe, Adams, Kingdon, Cuttino, and Hentz) aren't even in the gym with the team (who returned back today, or some of them did)
so much for #23strong lol

Brankica is not playing in the matches against Italy according to Serbian news (and a Brazilian I saw on Twitter)
Her participation in Tokyo is questionable.
