She's so technically sound.

I think our starting 6/7 are just tired and the schedule is also a factor why they are performing like that. I know it is not an excuse but like I said it is a factor. They could have at least start with team b with hill, krob, chi,Hancock against Argentina 🇦🇷 and Russia 🇷🇺. Larson will be tire and stress against italy and qf.

SWP/KP and Carlini should have been on this roster, but I've been saying that for a while now. I will also never understand a coaching mentality where you would fill roster spots with players specifically designed for one purpose instead of bringing those that can bring all the skills required for their respective position. Why be so limiting? I definitely want to see Hancock for Poulter, Hill for MBH and Chi for Foluke vs. Italy, just to see if the team can look more cohesive and less sloppy. To me, the team hasn't even reached the form they had in the 2019 WCup yet. I agree. If you bring Hancock, you don't hesitate to play her. Same for the others. It's only a 12 person roster for chissakes.

JWO is basically the only player who has showed up for the team consistently through pool play so far. All I can think about is the countless thread discussions about our libero "problem" over the past quad. It's comical really that this position if the only one that is performing well. I was laughing sardonically to myself about this just last night.

They get a day off between matches. They are world class athletes. Fatigue should not be an issue.

As always, I think there is too much recency bias and too much assuming any one match (or several matches in a row) is indicative of that mythical beast called "team form". Individual players can have good and bad forms, but teams as a whole? Even if such a thing exists, it plays a far smaller role in team sports at the highest level than the mental state of players, on which leg they got up that morning (metaphorically speaking, of course ), how much and what kind of pressure they are under etc. As for Russia, I think the case is simple: they felt fully free after being disregarded this whole quad and starting badly in the tournament to just swing for it thinking they've got nothing to lose. Goncha suddenly turned back the clock to 2015; they've got several young players who don't feel the weight of failures of recent years weighing as heavily on them as on some older players. But now they've won against 2 best ranked teams in the world, you'll see their arms and legs stiffening, all right. Now, they WILL have something to lose. We'll see how they deal with that. I also get that you Americans are not used to defeats(especially not in group stages), and are thus prone to thinking that anyone who beats you must be the best thing since sliced bread. It could be just that your players had a bad day and opponents had a great day where everything worked for them. It could just be that, 48 hours later, you would beat them just as easily as they did you.
