Serbia is the most efficient team (.366), Brazil (.351), Italy (.255), and DOM (.252).
Serbia avg the most blocks/set (3.38), Italy (3.17), Turkey (3.05), and ROC/USA (2.95)
Serbia avg the most aces/set (2.00), ROC (1.26), Italy (1.22), and China (1.18)
Japan had the most digs/set. USA had the best passing (in FIVB stats anyways)

Damn those middle stars are awful. I wonder if a pool winner has every had such a rough statistical outlook at an Olympics before.

It makes our middles hitting .149 and .210 that much more concerning

Is there a way to filter down without much effort the differences in middles hitting percentages between the setters? I get that Hancock's sample size would be extremely small, but... curiosity and all.

Unless you'd go back and watch set 1/2 of USA-ITA and subtract those stats. (im not doing that lol) Washington was 7-2-16 .312 and Foluke was 6-3-13 .231. I dont think subtracting poulter's makes much of a difference there. Still not great.

Meryem Boz saying that the Russians were very rude to her specifically, but she wasn't fazed and the best response is the scoreboard 👑

It's always better to NOT talk smack during a match. Let your play do the talking. Grateful to Turkey and Gio for taking care of business.
