Agreed. Seeded 10th, finished 9th. Obviously we wish they could have pushed to medal, but given the circumstances, I couldn't be happier for them. Tri definitely gives us some hope for 2024, his offense and overall confidence is outstanding. If he can continue progressing as a defender (assuming he doesn't pick up Taylor and go back to blocking), I like his chances 3 years from now.

We have zero players that are medal capable! We need a lot of help. While Taylor is our best defender and really good one at that I have seen him not side out against the top teams, then he has to get a big that can side out better then him. We need to pray lol

They should have won that match...all I'm going to say about it...very sad to see Jake go out like that...US mens volleyball in a world of hurt right now, on the sand and indoors...

Honestly you can't be too bummed about this result. I think everybody who has watched the world tour lately knew, that Gibb and Tri (and Dalcena) would most likely not win a medal at the Olympics unless there would be some major upsets. Both US teams looked good out there though and there is no shame in losing in the 1/8th finals. The rest of the world is just too strong at the moment.
