I don't think I saw this discussed anywhere, but could have missed it. I'm a newish sand volleyball fan, so maybe Tri was the obvious choice because of his talent, but was wondering if Trevor was first considered to replace his brother? Wasn't Trevor also a primary defender?

I didnât hear any details behind why Tri was picked, but my guess is Jake had some say in it and maybe he preferred to play with Tri.

Trevor is injured too. So Tri was the obvious option.

Also, what is going on with Anders and Christian. They're about to lose right now. They have not been the same since Cancun.

Trevor had said in an IG post that he has an injury, but I am not sure that matters because IMO Tri was the best option for any of the 4 guys that qualified if an alternate was needed, plus they were planning on playing Atlantic City before Tri jumped on a plane too.

From todayâs Volleyballmag article about Qatar, who Tribb have next:
In their case, itâs a tough one, against third-seeded Cherif Samba and Ahmed Tijan of Qatar. They are also 2-0 after sweeping Italians Adrian Carambula and Enrico Rossi on Wednesday. In that match, Samba tweaked his knee and said he was planning on getting an MRI.
âYeah, I twisted it,â Samba said. âMaybe weâre going to check MRI to see whatâs going on. Now Iâm warm, but letâs see tomorrow morning what we have.â

The announcers said early in the match that Gibb would get most of the serves over Taylor. I donât think that is true ⌠International teams have gone after Jake much more than Taylor in the past.

Even on the AVP you see Jake taking a good amount of serves. I think both Jake and Taylor have struggled siding out against the international bigs, hence them not having any real great results in FIVBs.

I think both Jake and Taylor have struggled siding out against the international bigs, hence them not having any real great results in FIVBs. Jake seemed to always get the majority of serves in all of his partnerships. Prior to Taylor, he played with Rosie and Casey in their respective primes.

The womenâs soccer match is going way overtime so Tribbâs match got moved to another channel. CBC doesnât have a stream for this.
