And Butler loses one: Madison Friebel - Setter - Butler to Portland State um... whats going on at butler? McKelvey isn't on their roster anymore either.... or any setter for that matter. Guess Melody Davidson isn't returning either.

Marquette has some holes to fill for sure. They lose Rennie/Wolf (hired guns), Werch and Lines graduate. The roster is odd right now as the 2022 they show has none of next years seniors (Mosher, Schoessow, Koontz on it); are they all moving on? Roster oversight? I didn't see anything from any of them yet saying as such. Regarding the Freshman incoming, Daughtery has some history of injuries. Murray will be a starting middle, Nuessmeier/Bray return and it might be a couple of weeks before Thies can figure out which of the other 3 will be the starter. Natalie Ring probably won't make must difference and will definitely need a DS to cover her backrow which is not good. She does have a strong attack and some decent hops but is very inconsistent. Given that she played for Capital who essentially has not played anything of note since pre-covid and comes from Madison which has also taken a huge hit from covid restrictions, she might just redshirt the entire season right out of the gate. Holmstrom was committed to Indiana at first before switching over but was hurt ( ACL ankle) most of last season ( Covid HS and into 17's club). She did play HS this past season and is on VC's roster for 18's. She should have a good shot at competing for Werch's spot if there are issues with VandenBerg's knee. If VDB is good though, Holmstrom might be hitting from the right with Aubrey coming in. I don't know anything about Ifill

The transfers are both big gets for Marquette. Hamilton and Anchante are both very good... I'd like to see Anchante run a 5-1... but I know Theis loves his 6-2. I need to do a scholarship count... but I'd think Theis is still looking for another player or two

Nice pick up here and it Looks like DePaul has some size coming in for their 2022 class. It would be nice to see some others teams try to challenge Creighton and Marquette. DePaul had a really nice 2021 season, hope they can continue to build.

Granted it's a highlight video so, as always, take it with a grain of salt

Marquette has to find some answers to stay where they have been, but Theis has been able to find ways to overcome the graduation of really good players and keep rolling, so I would not rule them out from the clearly making the tournament and trying to get by Creighton range in which they have been.

And they claimed a share of the league this year in the regular season, earning a banner!
