It’s still not clear to me exactly what “and other misconduct” means. Even an experienced investigative journalist wasn’t able to get to the bottom of it. But there are plenty of rumors on this board about a possible sexual relationship, just like there were rumors when this issue first came up two years ago.
At this point I would assume the right thing for Taylor to do from a PR standpoint is issue a statement saying he was just providing alcohol. Otherwise the rumors will follow him the rest of his career and would presumably limit his ability to get sponsors.

I am not going to be the one to post specifics, but even just a little texting around will confirm it was more than providing alcohol and its seeming more and more like Taylor made some really just awful choices at a point in his life. The last thing he wants to do is lie when the actual stories are pretty well known if you ask the right people, the solid move would be to publicly own it if it was nothing criminal and make a promise to be a better person after taking time to reflect the miss opportunity at the Olympics blah blah blah......and then actually follow through if he hasn't already been doing that. I am sure that Rich, Jake, and his agent have been in his ear since the camp situation, and helping mentor him about putting himself in better situations.

I’d also suggest that creating a YouTube series about drinking whiskey probably isn’t a good look for someone with alcohol-related violations, knowing that kids are likely a key segment of his viewership.
Makes me wonder who his agent/attorney is and whether he is listening to such professional and legal advice.

I don't have a problem with this other than they rate all of them like 8's or above and actually gave out 10's - I have been huge on the topic of go out and get as many sponsors as you can and I am sure they were attempting to create content that could potentially be sponsored if it got enough views. The problem I have is that, as an adult, he made the conscious choice to provide alcohol to minors, drink with minors, then put himself in a position to hook up with minors. If we want to start questioning his agent I think that is fair game too, he definitely should have known what Taylor signed and the ramifications of breaking that agreement before he scheduled him to coach a juniors clinic. Not to mention the incriminating post was not even deleted, not that it matters now.

But what sponsor would want to be associated with a show that promotes hard liquor brands on a media platform heavily used by kids where one of the co-hosts was previously punished for providing alcohol to minors? I do agree his agent should bear some responsibility for the camp coaching after the first suspension. According to Taylor’s website his agent is James Dowsett of Gate City Athletics.

True but a lot of brands are going to over look it (unfortunately), or have absolutely no idea it exists nor would they care if the YouTube channel was doing big enough numbers and just apologize later if people stir up outrage over it. That's just how the ad game goes these days, the account managers just look for views and subscribers and try to get a deal done. Speaking of account managers, it seems Taylor's agent does it as a side job and is possibly a friend from home. Pretty easy LinkedIn search shows he has sales account managing experience but I would doubt he knows the ins and outs or manages any of Taylors legal issues and pretty much is game for any club or brand that wants to work with him so Taylor doesn't have to worry about it.

According to his LinkedIn, he only started representing Taylor Crabb in Jan. 2020. The incident happened in 2019, so it should’ve been someone else.

It didn't make that clear to me. Perhaps you could quote what I missed? I have no dog in this fight, and was kind of only reading it to find out what horrible thing he did. But I didn't see anything more horrible than providing alcohol to minors (which is illegal, and I'm not condoning). “possession, consumption or distribution of alcohol and/or tobacco if illegal or in violation of USA Volleyball (USAV) or Regional Volleyball Association (RVA) policy” and “conduct which is inappropriate as determined by comparison to normally accepted behavior” "Crabb will complete the following educational course(s) at his expense, and provide proof of completion to USAV before the end of his four (4) month Suspension: 1) All SafeSport training curriculum provided for through the U.S. Center for SafeSport, and 2) California Harassment Prevention Training"But if those aren't sufficient, there are the various statements in multiple articles that: 1) This came to USAV's attention through law enforcement 2) "Crabb admitted to drinking with a minor-aged girl and other misconduct." 3) "the girl and her family decided not to testify against Crabbe." (Which wouldn't make much sense if we are talking about giving a minor alcohol). I do think your understanding illustrates the problem with USAV's actions. If your interpretation is correct, then USAV should not have used language that many have taken as implying Taylor did something much worse. And if he did do something worse, how is USAV protecting minors by not just saying so? I wonder how many players from the 80's and early '90's are sipping a beer and chuckling about this whole thing....

I wonder how many players from the 80's and early '90's are sipping a beer and chuckling about this whole thing.... My era, give or take. I’m struggling to figure out what the amusing part might be… How many times back in your era did you slam back beers while under age, or when over 21 with younger people? All of you holier than thou losers out there will be like "it wasn't me bro...I never touched alcohol in my life...it's evil"....truly amazes me how many perfect people there are in the world... From the sounds of it he gave alcohol to a minor, got hammered, and made an a$$ of himself...I don't know, wasn't there... Does anyone have details on this incident? Are there any allegations of rape? Sexual assault? Offensive touching? Were any charges filed? How come there were no charges filed? Why didn't the parents make a formal statement? Accoridng to USA Volleyball - which has him listed on its website...this was the reason: Violation of USAV Code of Conduct Sections 2 and 9: possession, consumption or distribution of alcohol and/or tobacco if illegal or in violation of USA Volleyball or Regional Volleyball Association policy, and, conduct which is inappropriate as determined by comparison to normally accepted behavior. What are examples of conduct deemed inappropriate as determined by comparison to normally accepted behavior mean? Did he grope her (sexual assault)? Did he try to kiss her? Did he verabally harass her? Did he expose himself? All of you volleyball nerds that have all the "inside information" and know everything that happens on the beach provide some details...and I don't want the, "well, my best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl that Crabb gave beer to" bull crap...and don't do the "well, bro...I know the whole story, but I'm not at liberty to say as it's not my place"... Modern Day Coach seems to have all the dirt, but then goes the "I'm not going to post specifics"...so Coach - are there sex crimes against a minor that have taken place? If you are covering it up you are just as guilty as Crabb....if you have talked with people who were present who shared details of crimes being committed and did nothing to stop it, or report it, then you are in fact a part of the cover up... Now, if he sexually assaulted a minor - which from the sounds of it all of you are insinuating he did, (so hence provide some facts you don't have) - then there would need to be criminal charges filed against him AND at this point USA Volleybal, its CEO Jamie Davis, and the FIVB for all potentially covering up crimes against minors...SEX CRIMES - this is what everyone on here is alleging....this would also be a slam dunk of a civil case in this day and age.. Also, if everyone has been in the know about this...why wasn't it public knowledge regarding the USA Volleyball board of directors’ unanimous decision in May 2019 to extend the suspension through Sept. 28, 2021? At the time of that decision there should have been an immediate announcement of the decision as it impacted olympic qualifications, not just for him but other teams trying to qualify. So, which is it...a massive conspiracy by international organizations to cover up a sexual assault against a minor? Or is it an adult knowingly providing alcohol to a minor with the intention of sexually assaulting her? Both of these are crimes, which one did he commit? Or was it a case he gave alcohol to a minor, got hammered and made an a$$ of himself? All of you seem to be in the know....which is it?

I am by no means withholding information, I reached out to two people I thought would be more in the know than me from two different parts of the country and they gave me nearly identical stories, then I also received a DM on here with the same exact story. So yea, I am not going to post something that was shared with me, but I don't think its any coincidence that all three stories, from people that don't know each other, are the same. Its not some conspiracy coverup you are looking for when USAV has addressed it already and the story of what happened seems pretty well known in the volleyball community. It has been reported the parents decided not to press charges, there are rumors he made questionable choices before that as well, but clearly nothing worth pressing criminal charges over otherwise it would have happened. USAV has a long noted history of literally just brushing these things off or giving slaps on the wrist, they clearly had to take a tougher stand in recent years with the anti rick butler movement ramping up and all the stuff with USA gymnastics. USAV should be ashamed for how they handled things in the past, it seems like they tried to take a tougher stance on this as well until Taylor did something so stupid like going to a kids camp when he signed an agreement he knowingly couldn't be there. I am surprised they didn't hold him out of the FIVB events and Olympics after the bad rap they have gotten handling this stuff but obviously people in higher places talked to the powers that be for Taylor.

I am surprised they didn't hold him out of the FIVB events and Olympics after the bad rap they have gotten handling this stuff but obviously people in higher places talked to the powers that be for Taylor. Not at all Modern Day - I'm stating I'm willing to bet almost everyone on here has been in a position where they have been at parties drinking alcohol knowing there are underage/minors at that party, some of whom may have acted "inappropriately"....ie like a stupid drunk.... I will rephrase the question....you stated he should own up to it, if it was nothing criminal....you have talked to three people who I'm assuming were all present during this event...it was either criminal or it wasn't...if it was criminal, and organizations and people covered it up and did nothing about it they are a part of the criminal act....if it wasn't criminal, and it was stupid drunk behavior, then it needs to be clearly stated...there are a number of people on here making serious innuendoes. According the the "public information": Law enforcement went to USA Volleyball’s Torrance office about an alleged November 2015 incident involving Crabb and a minor age girl, according to a person familiar with the case. The girl and her family decided against testifying against Crabb, according to the person and documents. If law enforcement came knocking on the door to the USAV, then there was definitely some sort of formal investigation...even if the girl and her family did not testify....I find it extremely strange law enforcement would show up there, but no charges were ever filed given the suspension handed down. Next, if a decision was made making him ineligible for the Olympics at the time of the 2nd suspension, I would think the FIVB and the USOC would have to be notified about the ineligibility - I'm not 100% certain on how that works, but I believe there is a process that is suppose to be followed with regards to such situations. This would be made even before an appeal process would take place. Now, if we want to debate Crabb's stupidity, that's an entirely different topic...the guy is obviously not the best when using common sense (i.e. showing up at a volleyball camp for Jr Girls and posting pics of it on social media when under suspension)...if he has a history of "questionable behavior" going back to 2015, and it has occurred on a regular basis through '19 and '20, and no one has stepped in it speaks volumes about the USAV, AVP, FIVB, the Crabb Family, Jake Gibb and their coaches IMHO...

He was 23 when this occurred? 29 now : incident occurred nov 2015: making him 23: i believe? How old was the female he was with? In California if a 23 year old has consensual sex with a teenager it is considered statutory rape: but since girl and parents wouldn’t press charges or testify it would appear no statutory rape: age consent cali = 18, age of consent varies accross US : range 16 to 18.
