To keep everyone posted, I know there are reports all over and links on this site, but in an effort to get it all into one story: volleyballmag.com/taylor-crabb-tests-positive-072121/I'll update with anything I can glean from other news sources, but I'm not in Tokyo. Ed is in Tokyo, but after nearly 24 hours -- literally -- in the airport is finally in his hotel, where he has to quarantine for 3 days. I assume he's sleeping. His travel story was nuts and I hope he'll write about it. Travis is in Hermosa and hopefully he can get ahold of Tri and we'll have another story. I have a feeling this is not the last day we write about stuff like this.

Has he not been vaccinated??? Looks to be in Japan that being vaccinated doesn’t guarantee a negative test. The Czech guy was fully vaccinated and tested positive. The US gymnast alternate was also fully vaccinated. Crazy day.

The US gymnast alternate was also fully vaccinated. Crazy day. The new variants are still infecting vaccinated people. So far, however, reports are that in vaccinated people they tend to result in asymptomatic (and hopefully harmless) cases of infection. But the tests are sensitive enough to pick them up.
