How will Turkey target US? Serve MBH exclusively. China gave JWO and Larson 28 combined. that's too many. They have to force MBH's seam to make Larson and MBH move. |

I imagine that we'll try to take away most of the crosscourt from Karakurt and try to funnel her towards JWO. I'll be interested to see if Baladin and Ismailoglu can continue the success they had against China against Italy. Gotta put our serves on Baladin and take away her line attack. If Cansu is playing well and she's able to set Zehra and Eda, that's a very big problem too.

How should the US stop Karakurt? if she's on, you probably can't stop her. like I said, funneling her to JWO is probably our best shot at getting some good digs and limiting her. our success is going to have to be from the service line in getting Turkey off the net and then really limiting their lefts as much as we can. conversely, our passing has to hold up against Turkey's floats, and Guidetti's teams almost always have good block and defense when it counts. just my thoughts as a completely unknowledgeable fan. |

I mean, to be fair, Foluke is a veteran, and I'm not sure having six of your seven starters being Olympic newbies is a good thing. She seems like a leader/calming influence on the court, particularly after returning as a mother. But it's pretty clear that numbers-wise, as far as we can tell, Chi on paper should be starting. Idk.
