Controversial opinion but Popovic is better than Veljkovic. Classic offense vs block trade-off but Popovic gives more overall. oh I severely disagree but to each their own. Popovic has absolute bunnies though.

It's very possible Serbia is outpassing Japan today.
The universe really hasn't been subtle in signaling the impending apocalypse lately.

The universe really hasn't been subtle in signaling the impending apocalypse lately. Kenya over Korea would be a nice touch to add? Chumba scored 11 points against Japan in the 3rd set... Maybe she can bring Africa a win at the Olympics!

Ok but I kind of want this to go 4 or even 5 because Boskovic is already at 32 points.

Ooh that one handed set to Rasic, who was at maybe 2 feet above the Japanese middle. Yowch.

Maja is just incredible. Yes Boskovic is the best player in the world but Ognejovic is SOOOO remarkably consistent. She puts Tijana in a wonderful position no matter where the pass is. It’s insane and not talked about enough

LOL Boskovic looked more excited to score on that tip than some of her rips.

Wow, Japan with the big comeback to tie it at 22.
Oooh and they had some chances to take the lead but couldn't handle some down/free balls well enough to run offense.

24-23 Japan with set point. Bosko hasn't scored in her last 5 or 6 swings.

Welp that got interesting until it wasn't. Might be *slightly* worrying that Boskovic had to drop 35+ to sweep Japan though. They definitely want someone else to help with scoring. Did anyone else score more than 15?

Blago crushes a go (love how Maja can set moon balls but doesn't struggle with tempo when needed), Tip dug up oddly, Bosko puts it down off a decent bumpset/scramble Popovic stuffs.
Japan finishes the sweep.
Bosko with 31 kills on 49 swings. She's only on 92 swings so far and is getting the day off against Kenya. Terzic probably happy with her usage level.
