Hill needs to be over MBH though.
We need to see it. Hill has shown she can do it.
Didn’t she do pretty well club season too?

USA had better pray that Italy ends up on the opposite side of the bracket than them, which will happen if Russia wins vs. Turkey. Then the USA would be hoping for Korea in the QF's instead of Serbia. We want Serbia to get Italy. |

Hill had a much more defensive role on Imoco. She passed, dug, and blocked, and pretty much didn't attack high balls. Plus, she and Wolosz have this weird, inside, super-fast set that doesn't translate well to USA. MBH also had Haak to take the hard swings on her team, but she definitely swung at high balls and her role translates much better from Vakifbank to USA. |

Does Hancock go on long runs in the pro leagues on serve cause I haven’t seen that happen yet? No shade just wondering She usually gets her serve going once per set or two, but she also gets 3 chances per set from behind the service line. |

I have seen her go into tailspins like this when I had time to watch Serie A1 matches. She hits a few errors, presses, makes a few more, gets down, and she is gone. Sometimes she comes back into the match. My memory is that it doesn't carry over that much from match to match. I'd love to see some stats on it. But the US will have to play even better to beat an Italian team with a good Egonu. This was a really weird and, for the most part, a very sloppy match. Lot of grit showed by the US though. |

I wrote this earlier, but thoughts... USA WNT does not run any combination plays. Are we too predictable? Pins, middle 1s, slide by Washington, and pipes in the backrow. Should we not run any plays?
