Agreeed sorry but no things need to change NOW if they want to be medal contenders in Paris and gold favorites in Los Angeles.

"I just hope this team has an opportunity to regroup and give it another shot. They deserve it and they’re a great group of guys." This is just a no. I'm sorry, but the program has got to move on, especially with Paris looming just 3 years away. We don't have time for that. These guys had their pro seasons just like everyone else, they had them shut down at the same time as everyone else. It is what it is. If they're continuing to earn their roster spots and are making individual strong runs towards Paris then great, they've still got it in them. But the "one more chance" mentality has got to stop. Yup, a few guys are gonna be really long in the tooth in 4 years and Speraw hasn’t been very good, nor has he at UCLA imo.

I don't see Speraw or any HC just giving these guys a spot on the roster, but who do you think will beat them out?
If these guys stay and play, other than middle blocker, what position do we expect to see turnaround?
No one has announced retirement, and all have signed contracts with good clubs (except Garret Muagututia and Kyle Ensing).
It looks like Sander has injuries mounting, so maybe it gets too much. Though you would have Russell returning to pair with DeFalco.
Three middle blockers could be Stahl, Averill, Jendryk?
If Anderson stays with it, I do not see anyone eclipsing him in 3 years.
I don't see any OH prospects coming in hot.

I just remember watching the France vs Brazil match when the French coach literally used everyone on his bench to re-gain momentum and allow his starters to take a breather. Kind of disappointing that not more substitutions were made.

Don’t you think that was more of a nice gesture statement vs actual idea to follow thru on? I don’t think anyone expects USA volleyball to just say that roster will remain intact for Paris.

Might Speraw rethink his serving strategies? UCLA should have won the title a few years back if not for poorly timed service errors, and the US this go around were awful servers as well.
It's more than his teams being aggressive, because their opponents consistently have more aces with less errors.

The whole "just serve hard every time despite errors" strategy really, really didn't pay off. I thought I heard stats that we had way more service errors than everyone else. If they can serve tough but in, then so should we.
