Is there any link to watch this match and it’s entirety? It's available from NBC Sports, but requires a subscription - I think USA or was it CNBC. That's the weird thing about seeing it on the apps - they don't really show what network subscriptions are needed to watch which events. All I get is a notice that I don't have a subscription. Peacock will have it, but only at 3 AM PST from what I've seen. . Thank you |

NBC opens the closing ceremony show with the team (and their gold medals). Larson and Akinradewo do the talking.
(Well, after Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir.)

I don't think Jordan or Foluke are done with the NT. That was a very lackluster "yes". Foluke saying to Jordan "Are you sure?!" was perfect! How amazing it has to have been to have played 3 quads with your best friend in the sport that you love. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 |

Didn't watch the match live because I'm a crotchety old man who goes to sleep at 9:30pm on Saturday nights at 33 years old, but this morning I rolled out of bed at 6am, immediately stumbled over to my phone, and Googled "Olympic volleyball final."
Few things as relieving as to see, "United States vs Brazil. Women's Gold Medal Match. United States won 3-0" in the little summary widget Google had as the first result.
All I could think when I saw that was, "Finally."
A couple hours later when I had a chance to watch the highlights quickly, it was hard not to get a little bit emotional when Larson put down that final kill (even if she's a darn Husker).

I'd be curious to know what Ze Roberto had to say after the match. I'd also be curious to read what Terzic had to say after the Serbia match. Come to think of it, where's @madden54 ? He said that USA was the favorite to win gold, but he hoped the Brazilian team would play better. That had a lot to do with USA game plan, but there was also a lot of emotions involved. We faced many problems during this quad and not many people believe they would reach a semi-final, let alone a gold final match. So we are really proud of our girls. Now we start rebuilding for Paris 2024, really excited for the new pieces joining the senior NT. I know it is too soon, but I am even more excited for the quad for LA 2028. Congrats, USA!!! Hope that gold help grow the pro sport in the country to the level it deserves. And ladies, don't forget to milk on that gold medal with sponsorships and a salary bonus/bump. You earned it!!! |
