She’s going to serve a suspension, full stop. The only question is whether it’s 4 years, 2 years, 9 months, or something in between. That is not completely true. See link (both Sylla and Ana Antonijevic received a provisional suspension and were later cleared of any wrongdoing). I am not going to keep this back and forth discussion until the final decision comes out. But I have bookmarked this page for future reference and response. Below is information from the FIVB website ( www.fivb.com/en/medical/education/anti-doping) RESULTS MANAGEMENT – PLAYER'S RIGHTS Results Management is the process that deals with possible Anti-Doping Rules Violations (ADRV), starting from the reporting of an Adverse Analytical Finding (AAF), also called positive test – when the laboratory reports the presence of a Prohibited Substance or evidence of the use of a Prohibited Method in a sample after analysis – until the final sanctioning of an athlete. The above WADA doping control video also includes the Results Management process. Once informed of an AAF, the Athlete has the following rights: To request for the B sample to be analyzed and to attend himself or via his representative the identification, opening and analysis of the B sample; To request copies of the A and B Sample laboratory documentation package; Right of a fair and timely hearing The right to appeal FIVB's decision which may be heard by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) Clenbuterol? Apples and oranges. Ostarine is classified as an S1 anabolic steroid by WADA, a big no-no. Generally a minimum 9 month suspension even if an athlete can prove it was 100% accidental. 2-4 years otherwise. Now, while this particular althlete has not disputed the positive test. (see below), there might possibly be an “out” if evidence can be brought the testing lab contaminated the sample in some way - at any rate, as I said esrlier, we’ll see. www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/volleyball-player-claims-innocence-over-positive-drug-test-2021-08-06/

I don't think Brazil will have a horrible serve/pass game as Serbia. Just not seeing it happen. I think the key to putting them over the edge is Fe Garay. I've been impressed with USA's block/defense in their past two routings. The Brazilian OH's can certainly wreck havoc, but, you have to favor the USA at this point.

Fe should be getting every single ball. if they serve Gabi like they tried De Gennaro... Castillo... sigh

They were blocking, touching, digging everything. It was clinical. They even kept that level against Serbia the following night. It's been impressive. The Brazilian leftsides are still dangerous. Say Gabi gets blocked early and often.. it's gonna be a quick match for BRA. If she can get it done, it's going to be a heavy-weight fight.

From what I recall she is passing very similar numbers to Fe Garay. Also Gabi will be for sure pinching to cover Fe Garay a lot, leaving potentially more court for Brait.

I haven't watched much of Brazil at the OG's (boring) but they could definitely attack those seams. Just keep the ball away from Gabi and I'll be content. I'd really love to see them incorporate those short serves they did against Serbia. Make Macris move.

I'm not worried. I'll have several bottles of juice ready and the match starts at a perfect time for us left-coasters.

Wish this match wasn’t so late, 4 1/2 hours between bronze and gold match start times is too much
