Perhaps you’re right and the administration found no wrong doing, perhaps they’re just taking their time to build a rock solid case due to the family ties they might need to uproot. Either way, I’d imagine both seats are fairly warm unless the Mizzou coaches are above reproach. Or, alternatively, the adminstrators who put a guy with 2 years of coaching experience in charge of a Top 25 SEC program because he was the old coach's nephew-in-law really want to avoid putting extra scrutiny on that decision. So, when someone makes that decision, wouldn't you question their 'internal investigation' process as well? I certainly would put less stock into it and see red flags. Also, to the guy's point who made an account just to comment on these topics and springs up whenever Josh Taylor is brought up, you may not agree with a player's views and that's fine. No coach is going to agree with all players' views. But, belittling their concerns for racial justice, particularly when you are not in the minority or ethnic group which is expressing concerns, that is definitely wrong. And this was a claim made.

According to my booster friend at Texas, he is not on the hot seat. Alums with big money are happy that the volleyball program shows pretty strongly every year like clockwork. I'm not telling you something you probably don't know, but football is HUGE at Texas and the moneyed boosters main priority. Bball is second, and they just did some coach cleaning there like football, but as long as JE continues on the current path he is very safe. Sure some schools may not have football, and a few select ones go basketball then football.. but is there another order that boosters can show priority too? I don't think many were aware they could prioritize a something other than football and basketball. Many schools have separate booster clubs for at least some of the sports besides football or men's bb. Richer boosters can endow some of the coaches or some of the scholarships. I know that Caitlyn and Michaela Keefe's parents (both former Stanford VB players) endowed a wvb scholarship. The Filos recently endowed the Kimberly and Beverly Oden Assistant Volleyball Coach. (Not many boosters can do that but if you can, it's an excellent way to help a particular sport.)

Man, this thread is toxic. Isn't that the point of a "Hot Seat" thread?

Definitely UNC...Since 2017, many top 50 senior aces have transferred out and performed well at other schools. Talent has been there to get back to the top since 2018 and has fallen flat. You can thank one assistant coach in particular...but ultimately the program's state is a reflection of the HC.

Just because a coach doesn't support or agree with a player's views doesn't make him racist or abusive. Move on. Josh IS racist and abusive, as recounted by all his POC players who transferred out. You need to stop defending the indefensible.

How safe is Tom Black?
This is his 5th year, and UGA has not really lived up to expectations. 2017 - 22-12 (10-8) - Stemke's players, for the most part, plus Ritchie 2018 - 15-14 (6-12) - Ceasar transfer drama 2019 - 20-10 (12-6) - big bounce back season 2020 - 8-14 (8-14 - duh) - rather significant disappointment
I expect UGA to have a pretty good season this year, so this is likely moot. But if they struggle like 2020, is Black in any danger?

It's really not a "separate" booster club. It's just an account within the greater athletic development organization, though I'm sure there are fan clubs which stand apart from the official university organization.

You need to stop defending the indefensible. Have you reached out to Missouri administration? Or the Mizzou student newspaper? If you know enough to assert these things as facts, expose him. I want him fired too.

Before we all get into the groove of calling out coaches for the transfers, remember that these next few years are going to be f'ed up with the transfers because of the extra year of eligibility.
Some are transferring because they have graduated and are moving on to graduate school. Some are taking advantage of the extra year to move into beach volleyball. Some are transferring because of the logjam on the roster.

Let’s face it in today’s world kids mostly leave because they aren’t getting to play, and that’s no fault of the program. The mass exodus do to a sour culture is of course a red flag.

According to the vtalk geniuses you have to think Jerriot Elliot is on the hot seat with all that underachieving I suspect most coaches would like to be in his "hot seat" since he received a raise that the BOR approved about two weeks ago.
