What are we thinking with both USF schools (South Florida and San Francisco) both did significantly worse this year than Covid Season.

If those coaches have multi-year contracts, they aren't close to being up. And neither of those schools care nearly enough about volleyball to buy out their contracts. I think the same thing about Josh Taylor. If his contract isn't up, I find it unlikely they'd buy out his contract for one bad season and a highly rated recruiting class coming in.

That’s horrible for a program like that.

I still think it takes more than one season for a school to be willing to spend the money to buy out a coach's contract.

Not all multiyear contracts have a buyout and not all the ones that do have a significant one.

I am hoping some of these AD's have the balls to do the right thing and hold some of these coaches up to standards. Or even better, to raise expectations! Volleyball has grown 500 percent. I would bet this is now the top women's sport to watch? More talented coaches, better volleyball.

Unless you're USC, in which case you wait until your team is 2 points shy of making the final four and then you fire your coach without telling him while he's at the AVCA convention.

If the coaching staff isn't concerned with the welfare of their student-athletes and creating a positive team culture, they should be let go.
