Very steady decline, passed up by half the conference, no NCAA with 6 teams qualified, zero fwd energy or momentum… And this with a roster of HS All Americans and highly touted prep players.....While I may be glad that UNC currently owns them, I hate that they are not making the ACC better and they absolutely should. NCSU has already passed Duke and Wake will in a few years if they dont make a change Not to mention they are a prestigious university and the North Carolina club volleyball scene is solid.

Fred Chao for Patric Santiago has not worked out well.

Fred Chao for Patric Santiago has not worked out well. And Fred is doing really well at ODU, for starting the program from scratch.

I feel like the Big 12 doesn't get talked about much outside of Texas/Baylor. All three of the schools listed have been on the decline: KansasRay Bechard
422-289 (.594) in 25 seasons *added spring 2021 to bio info* Last NCAA Qualification: 2017 (First Round) *went 2012-2017* 2020 Big 12 Finish: 5th 2022 Recruiting Class Rank: > 50 While they are all in a little bit of a different situation, I would think the ADs want to maybe think about making some moves. While Oklahoma and Texas eventually leaving could help make the conference less top heavy, adding BYU, UCF, and even Cincinnati isn't going to make this a ton easier for these teams to get wins and only 3-4 teams usually break the tournament bubble (Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa State in 2019). 2022 recruiting class is totally meaningless to Kansas after the 2020/21 classes. Those two classes are very deep and don't leave much room for recruiting until the 2025 class. Compared to the last 3 years - the program is on an upswing right now. Kansas won first round of NCAA yesterday. Some might say a Ray of sunshine.

So from your original list, here is who is left that didn't make the tournament: Pac 12: Oregon State (5-25, Conf Rank: 11th/12) Colorado (15-14, Conf Rank: 10th/12) Big 10: Maryland (19-13, Conf Rank: 10th/14) Michigan State (11-18, Conf Rank: 11th/14) Big 12: TCU (8-18, Conf Rank: 10th/10) SEC: Georgia (12-17, Conf Rank: 8th/13) Arkansas (19-10, Conf Rank: 6th/13) *NIVC* Alabama (10-20, Conf Rank: 12th/13) LSU (13-14, Conf Rank: 7th/13) WCC: LMU (17-11, Conf Rank: 7th/10) SMC (15-12, Conf Rank: 5th/10) Pacific (13-16, Conf Rank: 4th/10) *NIVC*MWC: New Mexico (20-10, Conf Rank: 5th/11) Fresno State (12-14, Conf Rank: 8th/11) Nevada (3-26, Conf Rank: 11th/11) I predicted 2 so far, I anticipate 3 more from the above list I nailed two more Hottest seats going into next year Georgia, Loyola, Oregon State, Nevada

Okay, maybe one more year, especially with the COVID-19 debacle, but, if she gets another year to bounce back, Cathy George should send Mel Tucker a nice Christmas gift for taking up the athletic department's funds. Yes, she has won a lot there, but 4 years of not being close to an NCAA bid after that was routine is not good. I don't love to see people who have had success lose their jobs, but Erbe did well there, and she did as well, so that is where the standards are. Pete Waite got one more year in a similar situation, but they were closer for the most part. If she does go, it was still a pretty good run in a tough league, as I think Waite's was overall.

Is it just my imagination, or does this thread have a certain bloodthirsty aspect to it?
