Brazil literally has one proven pin and while Gabi is absolutely fantastic she isn’t enough to carry the offense by herself okay and? serbia has one proven pin. (and its one that doesnt pass) turkey in pressure matches? no thanks. china has barely anyone healthy or playing. (LYY and Gong.... Ding Xia was a mess.... Zhang is hurt/on a break?)  Bošković is a little more than just a proven pin lmao. Gabi can not carry Brazil offensively. The passing situation is very very sus for Serbia tho. Like more so than it’s ever been before. But I just don’t see the Brazil hype |

f*ck it Dominican Republic wins a medal you heard it here first They are absolutely the dark horse for a medal. Brayelin/Gaila/Pena (I'm assuming she will be the other OH) is one heck of a pin trio, plus Jineiry in the middle is a stud. Really excited to see how they compete this summer. |

ok I love all the hype and trying to bring some confidence that a run is possible ... but the ball does not pass itself and this isn't the mens game where I can bank on service errors giving DR a chance. I think DR needed additional service pressure so Gaila is really helping on that front too (Jineiry's serve tends to produce some runs, and while DLC might not pack as much heat as previously, I think she can still get it done here and there).
The only saving grace is that sometimes Castillo just gets a chance to impact the match more than she should.

On one half you have Italy, Netherlands, Brazil, China and the other being USA, Serbia, Turkey, Poland (although if Smarzek/Stysiak are out... im tempted to put DR at 4) My three right now are Italy, USA, Brazil. (Italy/USA have a gap... Brazil can be dropped for one of the ones below) What other teams need to sort out Serbia: is anyone going to pass Turkey: is anyone going to be consistent China: is there even anyone playing? > China: is there even anyone playing?
LYY for sure, ZCN might be back. maybe even ZT if the recovery goes well.
