That makes zero sense. I get hating on SC since it’s a common theme from UCLA fans but they have mostly went 3-2 against decent teams. It’s a toss up at best and will come down to who ever is prepared for GS. Honestly if the SC 5’s pair is right I’d argue the 4 peat is more likely than the Bruins getting the W. I hate saying this but sc is the favorite. Not sure about your 3-2 v decent teams but agree on the other points. Ps: I’ll be in GS looking for redemption. If I remember correctly, there was a year USC had many 3-2 matches and they ended up winning NCAA that year.

If I remember correctly, there was a year USC had many 3-2 matches and they ended up winning NCAA that year. Yeah, last year in its rebuilding year, USC had twelve total 3-2 victories and still squeaked out a national championship. This year, before its recent loss to USC, UCLA has had its last five victories as 3-2 results. However, it only had one previous 3-2 victory the whole rest of the season. So maybe a little recency bias… but still a potentially worrying trend by the Bruins. We’ll see how it all shakes out tomorrow. 💪✌️. I’d bet my car that the Bruins sweep Arizona 3-0. Same with USC over Utah/Oregon.

Goellner/Thomas have gotta play tomorrow like they have nothing to lose and go for it. The rest of the pairs took care of business. congrats to Maddi Kriz for reaching her 100th career win against Utah. [1] No. 1 USC def. Great comeback by Goellner/Thomas! Goellner’s service game is a difference maker.
Also awesome to see the Trojan baseball team come over to support. 20-25 enthusiastic guys will certainly help.

Congrats to sc. Very hard to come out of the elimination bracket to win it all. Anyone joining me in Gulf Shores?

USC and UCLA are so evenly matched this season it seems a bit unfair that it could all come down to one match in Gulf Shores to decide the national champion. Though given that they are 3-3 on the season, I suppose we can think of it like a game seven to decide the series. Feels like there are really only three teams with a chance to win the Natty: USC, UCLA and Stanford. I'd put USC and UCLA's chances at 40% and Stanford's at 20%. I like the Thomas/Goellner pair. I think they have more upside than Thomas/Raindell, though they are probably a bit less consistent. In Gulf Shores, with the wind, that Goellner serve could be an x factor (good or bad).

I like how Ashley Pater has established herself during the second half of the season. Solid performances. She could be a bona fide two or three pairs player. I'm a Trojan fan, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the pendulum mighr swing the other way in Gulf Shores. Anybody's guess.
