Sheff pregame
Smrek did some things well and some things she needs to improve on. Especially jump on block moves. Needs better eyes work.
Gio will be bro instead of Barnes. Jardine will play outside.
Trying to develop left sides, get as many people game experience as possible. Think Gio and Barnes can both play bro.

Smrek did great for a first match
NIU is hard to read on serve receive
Double setter means they are often in system
They run lots of things and broad jump in attack.
Will be a test for the team and Anna.

Are they really known as “Northern”? I’ve never heard anyone call them that. Among Illinois residents it seems pretty common. One of my best friends went to WIU, and she always just calls it Western. |
