The Phoenix ended the Huskies’ pre-conference winning streak on Thursday night, handing them their first defeat of the season. The Badgers swept the Phoenix on Friday night. The match is sold out, and with so many Badgers players being from the Chicagoland area, I anticipate a lot of red in that small gym. Did you know Morgan Salow, the assistant coach of NIU, is a former Badger middle blocker?
Pete Waite was the winningest coach at NIU, from 1988-1999.

Did you know Morgan Salow, the assistant coach of NIU, is a former Badger middle blocker? Pete Waite was the winningest coach at NIU, from 1988-1999. Surprised it wasn’t Todd Kress! 24-9 in 2000 and 24-6 in 2001. I somehow missed that Pete was there. |

It's Smrek in middle I think. That is where she has played.
Trial by fire. It's a steep learning curve. Good thing she has the physical tools.
