My compliments to the two television announcers for this match. I know the name of the guy announcer, Connor Onion, because I kept wondering if he was any relation to a former Illini player Taylor Onion. He even surprised his partner in all his extra info about the players. Can someone tell me who the woman announcer was? I enjoyed her comments and insights into various strategies and skills. She mentioned she had been a vb coach, and although I cannot remember her hyphenated name, I believe she was a former vb player as well. That was Liz Tortorello-Nelson. Looks like she was a setter at UW Madison. I enjoyed her analysis last night, too. Hope she's on the call for more Illinois games! |

First Tweet I see is Tayler Onion mentioning that her cousin Connor was on the call for the Iowa match. So there you go! Cool Illini connection. |
