I do not understand having the tournament in this location. All the best teams are from California so have it in California.

If everyone that signed up, pays and goes to the tournament, it should have great turnout. 15 Open - Max Teams - 24, signed Up 23 16 Open - Max Teams - 28, signed Up 31 17 Open - Max Teams - 28, signed Up 30 18 Open - Max Teams - 32, signed Up 35
Unless some folks are planning to drop, it looks like they are going to have to expand the brackets for 16-18 open

I do not understand having the tournament in this location. All the best teams are from California so have it in California. The Event location makes sense as JVA is trying to grow their outreach. Club volleyball can't cater to where the best teams are located as talent can come from anywhere really. Also the name is "Third Coast Invite" which is in reference to the great lakes.

Will this event serve to rank teams for AAU National Championships everyone is going to at year end since AAU doesn't appear to have bid tournaments?
Sorry for my ignorance if this has already been clarified...

Sorry for my ignorance if this has already been clarified... AAU requires coaches to submit large event finishes to help with seeding on the girls side then they have a seeding committee for each age group.

I do not understand having the tournament in this location. All the best teams are from California so have it in California. Because there is a greater number of clubs in the Great Lakes region than in the West Coast. Yes the best teams are over on the West but clubs within a 350 mile radius of Chicago/Milwaukee is greater than LA or Vegas.

C2 16s were really fun to watch. For that age group im giving myself 1/2 credit for having BB over 949, but it ended up being semi-finals LOL. Congrats to OCVC, BB, C2 and Surf on their wins.

Hard to call the finals as sometime the best two teams meet in the semis due to randomness. I think that MIGHT have been the case with 17s and 15s
