Hello Husker/B1G fans (@avid ā¹ļø)! Do you think this will be competitive/interesting? I recently moved to the Chicagoland area and was curious about this match. Iāve zero knowledge of what Northwestern is like as a team though.
I donāt really follow the NCAA except mostly during the championship tournament in December (and largely because itās easy to catch a broadcast of the later rounds).
The only time I saw an NCAA match in person was when the Ramblers with Jaeschke defeated Stanford for their first national title. Interestingly, itāll be the same coach on Wednesday night. Should I come full circle? Lol

Nebraska has supposedly settled on a line-up for conference play and it'll be interesting to see exactly what that line-up is. Northwestern has had some interesting wins in recent years, most notably over Illinois 2 years ago right before Illinois made it into the tournament as an at large bid despite the loss. With Nebraska having a tough start to the season, Northwestern has a chance to make things interesting. That being said, it would probably be shocking to most people if Northwestern took more than 1 set from Nebraska here.

They have the ability if they get it together to maybe take a set off Nebraska - particularly with Nebraska's current lineup uncertainty. And when she's on, Temi Thomas-Ailara is worth the price of admission all by herself. ----------------- (My brother used to listen to Chicago news radio, and he always laughed about "the greater Chicagoland area". There's Chicago, then Chicagoland, then greater Chicagoland, and finally the greater Chicagoland area. That is, the area around the area around the area around Chicago. Is that Milwaukee? St Louis? How far does that go, exactly? :-)

Beautiful facility and a nice place to watch volleyball. I caught the 2019 regular season finale there when the Wildcats knocked off Illinois and Nia Robinson was on fire. Walked there from a nearby Metra stop and didn't remember it taking long. Also looks like it's only about a half mile walk from the nearest CTA Purple Line stop.

I don't think it's his first choice. But IMO since none of the five have stepped ahead, I think he'll back up to what's safe and allow things to calm down with Whit and the two upper classmen.

I believe he will go with a line up to calm the waters in the short term at minimum. You can go with a core line up AND take advantage of The fact you have players who can come off the bench and provide a lift, or spell a core player struggling .

I sure was impressed with Kalynn Meyer for the short time she was in during the last match. Would love to see a lot more of her in the near future. GBR

Welsh-Ryan is a great arena for volleyball. I feel for Northwestern fans though. They may not win a match in the Big this season. This is an opportunity for Nebraska to get well.
