Okay that seemed like the fastest match all year. Very impressed with the effort on the road tonight. You can tell Texas is starting to crank up their play just in time for conference playđ¤đ˝

I don't know if Rice deserves to make the tournament if they don't win the C-USA Tournament. I'm not impressed. I know it's about resume building, but Arizona and Notre Dame were both much tougher.

Our setter got a straight down block? Whenâs the last time weâve seen that?đ I think it was around the time Lord Nelson was victorious at the Battle of Trafalgar.

MaaaaaaanâŚIâm a BIG fan of Jhenna but when SKT is on the floor we just have that âlookâ. I think as the season goes on weâll be seeing more of her

Nalani had 16 digs in three sets. That's impressive.

Our setter got a straight down block? Whenâs the last time weâve seen that?đ Every game this season, except maybe A&M?

Serve serve serve. If the Texas serve game is on they beat anybody, if itâs not they still can but itâs going to be close deep in the tournament. Saige is making it hard not to get more playing time. Jhenna had one of her better games this year, connection to Butler looked better for the second straight game. But Saige looks really good and is an upgrade at blocking. The Rice hitting errors were big but they were out of system the entire game and when youâre hitting out of system against a big block all game there is a likelihood you will hit out of bounds trying to avoid the block.

Hell of a match, felt like we kept focus through the entirety. You know it had to bug them losing to them for the past few seasons.

Yea that was a weird statement, Jhenna gets blocks, just isnât a machine of a blocker. Neither is SKT though. Iâm gonna give deference to the setter that gets Parra involved out of the backrow if thatâs where sheâs unfortunately reduced to staying.

This was a nice, consistent, and focused win.

They looked the same against Baylor. Granted, that's two top 8 type teams when they're playing at their best, but Rice didn't look like they even belonged on the floor. Hopefully one of the top 50 RPI futures Big 12 opponents can give Texas a better test. ISU, KU, and WVU on the road. KState at home. Then Baylor in Waco Nov 5/6.

I haven't watched either ISU or KState yet, and I only have two matches for KU and one match for WVU. KU definitely looks better. Bien is one of the best freshmen in the country, and she's a true 6 rotation player, so she makes a huge impact for them. And that's just one aspect.
WVU I saw against Penn State. That's not completely a fair test...but it's not like Texas is going to be easier for them. I'll see more of them between now and then.
