Lougey was having problems in the first couple of sets. I am surprised about Berty but she's been put in before for passing/defense. Well that may be so with Bearty but when she was playing OH she was subbed out in the back row. Some of these girls I feel like Kevin just likes them too much as people so he plays them. IMO That's a big part of why I was surprised. IN one match, he brought in Tufuga to replace Berty. I thought it was more for passing/floor defense than hitting. So did the announcer. Then in KY and another match, he brought in Berty as a back row sub. I still don't understand but I'm not at the practices.

Shelby Martin has to be one of the most underrated and under radar setters in the country. She’s a chamaeleon!!

So disappointing. They deserve to drop pretty far for this loss.

Stanford looked like a team that wasn’t prepared to lose their libero in the middle of the match.
At this point in their trajectory, that’s not so unreasonable.

I'm not writing anyone off. There are a lot of matches to come this season.

How many people would bet on UCLA winning a match with May hitting negative ?

How many people would bet on UCLA winning a match with May hitting negative ? It's been close to happening more than once this season, so this wouldn't be a complete surprise.

EXACTLY… it’s like she is the first person off the bench when he needs a body on the court but like NO! She is so slow and unathletic. I’m sorry but for real. Next thing you know she will be the back up setter. I am not at practice either but I would rather see kipp or the other outside/ds freshman from Texas out there.

If Timmer didn’t play out of her mind today, Luper could be the next pac 12 Offensive player and freshman of the week

On the bright side, at least Stanford's block was looking strong. That's something that we didn't see too much of this season but I hope they can continue with that success. Obviously, not having Oglivie hurt a ton and I hope she comes back ASAP.
