I will be heading up to Tempe for this match. I will try to post here during if I have time. I will definitely post my impressions and Rubio's impressions after I finish writing my gamer.

I like ASU and their fighting spirit for the win They definitely fought back last year at DFA. Arizona got up 2-0, then ASU came roaring back. It should be a good match. I think it's going the distance regardless of who wins. It's weird that Arizona’s website has a link to what's supposed to be a preview, but the page is blank. If you want one from an Arizona perspective, I have one on the Arizona SB Nation site.

I realize people can feel uncomfortable with that kind of thing because it's self promotion, but it's entirely pertinent. Anyway, I found it, so I'll link it! www.azdesertswarm.com/volleyball/2021/9/23/22688618/arizona-volleyball-preview-pac12-asu-sun-devils-osu-beavers-passing-rubio-2021That's a really well written article, kimdc. With really good coach quotes and everything! I bet Coach Rubio is great to cover. He just seems like such a straight shooter, and very level headed. One thing that surprised me was when he was talking about a 6 rotation player. I just assumed Hodge was it given what I saw in the Texas game. I guess she's been a bit raw in the back row over the course of the year. I plan on watching tonight, so Bear Down Cats! On another note, apparently this is one of the closest matches in terms of Pablo probability in the country this week.

This is a match either team can win IMO. Arizona is probably a slight favorite on paper, but ASU at home could be the equalizer.
Prediction: You'll need two six packs to get through this one, and stock up on chips and salsa.

He's been around long enough that he's not afraid to speak his mind. He's very accommodating and appreciative of the coverage of his team. And, yes, I generally don't link to my articles here because it can feel spammy and they're written for the general sports fan rather than a knowledgeable volleyball fan. Thanks for reading and linking! As for Hodge, she has been the one because she's the most balanced, but he has been harping on back row all year. She's much better this year, but he still wants to see more.

ASU’s schedule does say 6pm MT, but PAC12Network says 7pm MT.

ASU’s schedule does say 6pm MT, but PAC12Network says 7pm MT. That's because Arizona does not observe daylight savings. They're geographically in Mountain and always claim to be in Mountain, but their clocks never move. During daylight savings time (now), their Mountain time is actually Pacific. When daylight savings ends, they move to be with the rest of Mountain. 6pm MT is "Arizona Mountain", whereas 7pm MT is "Mountain for everyone else."

ASU’s schedule does say 6pm MT, but PAC12Network says 7pm MT. It's MST, not MDT. MST is the same as PDT. Most of Arizona stays on Standard Time so it's the same as PT now. The Navajo reservation in AZ uses MDT, though.
