West Virginia is better. They remind me of Maryland, really good record but hasn’t played anyone (except for the Penn St game). Top 50 aces per set, 21st in blocks per set, 46th in hitting percentage. If Texas is in Rice form they sweep, if they are in Notre Dame, Arizona form it goes 4 or 5 sets.

Based solely on the eye test, WVU is better than last year, and keeps getting better. I’ve considered this road trip a trap since they shocked us with a loss a few years ago, and so I’m glad this series is at home. I hope Texas is rested and not underestimating this team. How can we be anything but rested not having played since the match @ Rice like 9 days ago? Let's hope we're not too rusty from the long layover between matches. |
