Hambly's hair is going to be completely gray by the end of the season unless it catches on fire. After his first three years when things were pretty much on cruise control, every match seems like a struggle.

Wow. I just flipped to SC / WSU and it's comical how much of a higher level that match is being played. It's night and day. I didn’t watch any of SC, but I find it strange that their match was “day and night” better than this one. I guess you’ll need to explain.

I'll take it. Its all about next season these types of situations are good team building on the plus side.

I think Hambly needs to make Kipp tye Samedy of Minnesota. Play her 6 rotations and let her learn her passing and defense. Berty can't do any better and is also reliable on defense. Let Kipp have a 30 kills/ match! I mean the serve receive would/could suffer so I can see why she’s not playing 6 rotations. She needs to learn to pass anyway I am sure Baird or Berty aren't better either. Kipp doesn't need to pass either if you leave her in. There are many passers available.

I don't know. This stat usually does not excite me much. We went 4 sets. We won 3 sets: 75 points. We scored 21 points in the set we lost: 75 + 21 = 96. So we scored 96 points. 61 of those 96 points were on assisted kills. Our setter had 55 of our 61 assists. I just don't see what there is to be excited by this. However, I am very open to someone trying to convince me that I should be excited by this.

Is there such a thing as good team building on the minus side or bad team building on the plus side? Finally, could I have some of whatever you were drinking last night?

So much to say about this match, but little of it fit in mixed company. I’ll stick to two things. 1) when a team has one good defender, stop hitting at her. All ASU had was a Libero. 2) I never want to see Tufuga playing anywhere in the back row. She’s like a speed bump. If the team is down to six players, play with five!

Not certain if Hambly had to bring in a replacement L, but I don't know the rules on L injuries. They just needed to stop Beaven's nose bleed, so maybe bring back the middle blocker and burn a regular sub to replace the middle blocker. Then, when Beaven returned to the floor, put her back in as the L. Apparently when you replace the injured L with a new L, the injured L cannot return for that set. Fortunately, Stanford has up 18-11 when this "Keystone Cops" situation occurred.
