Annabelle Smith(MB), and MacKenzie Fidelak (Opp) have been out with illness or injuries most of the season, including in the UCLA match. Leilah Smith(MB) and Selina Xu (SS/S) had been out but were in uniform for the ASU match. E Oglivie was injured in the UCLA match and was not available for the ASU match. Key players: Kendall Kipp, Caitie Baird Frosh to watch: Kami Miner, Sami Francis
I'd appreciate help with lineups, service orders, or injuries. If I made a mistake, post below or message me. Thanks!

Oregon State may as well just cancel this match, as they have no chance. What kind of first home court match in two months is this? Against Stanford? Whoever made their schedule needs to be fired.

To be fair, that means they also get to play Cal. Who would be better? Maybe the Arizonas but, unfortunately for OSU, they only play each AZ team once, in the first or last week of the conference season. How much input do the coaches have in the schedule?

Expecting to see Oglivie in the lineup as a warmup for the YUGE match against Oregon.

Thanks for not posting one of those construction gifs. Ah yes, harkening back to the old days. (Not the good old days. Just the old days.)

Well for their first home match of the season, ideally a more doable match for them than Stanford. Even if they faced CAL up first. Yeah, good question. I don't know how much input coaches get in the PAC schedule but they played their first four matches away, and then to not have any home court match during the OOC season was ridiculous. Maybe it was a case of not being able to get any teams to play them at home because they are a lower team, but they could have easily gotten a lower D1 team to.

Who do you think would want to play them? Teams want to play other teams that (1) have a high win %, (2) they might be able to beat, and (3) are easy/cheap to get to. If a team is at all interested in playing in the NCAA tournament, #1 is going to be the biggest factor by far (ignoring the bonuses you get from playing a team that is in the T75/T50/T25 since that doesn't apply to OSU or presumably the teams that would want to play them). They could probably get some of the bottom teams from the Big Sky, WAC, WCC, or Big West but I'm not sure it would be easy. I guess Seattle, Portland, maybe Gonzaga or University of San Francisco. It seems like few teams would want to play an RPI-killer like OSU. Western teams are at a disadvantage bc they don't have a whole lot of teams within easy driving distance.

If we have a third Freaky Friday, anything could happen. I’m voting OSU in 5.

Too bad Texas isn’t playing on Friday Yeah, hard to see how Stanford could lose to OSU assuming no injury issues (other than Oglivie). If Oglivie doesn't play for Stanford and OSU's L Grace Massey hoovers up balls, then maybe OSU can sneak a set.

I feel like she’s been there for 600 years though I was at the 2019 match in Corvallis between Stanford and OSU, which Stanford swept 3-0 without Plummer. Hentz and Massey put on digging clinic in that match with something like 40 digs between them.
