Neverdowski is out for at least 4-5 weeks starting last weekend. Riddle will likely come in for Campbell. Tabron has been passing/digging/hitting well in the back row as of late. Campbell is hopefully finishing up her recovery of an ankle injury, so we shall see if we see remarkable improvement after only playing her first college matches with any considerable time in the last couple weeks. I would also say that DeLuzio is a "key player". As of now, she has more digs per set than Fleck does (and is 1st in the PAC)... and she also sets a beautiful ball. Colorado's defense is very good, and the best in years (if ever) for Colorado. UCLA has more firepower overall. It will be nice to see the matchup -- especially if both teams are passing well. Colorado takes time to get used to new elevation when away from home, so I wouldn't doubt they start off slowly.

If Luper's back the match is over faster, but without UCLA still wins it, but May will need to be on her game again, as COL has good defense. If May has a bad match I'm not confident the other hitters can carry the load, so then chances for COL increase.

Thanks for the info about Neverdowski. I hope Campbell's recovery is complete and Neverdowski heals fully.

Tabron has a lot of ceiling potential and has some great moments/matches. She can hit a ball hard, but needs more shot selection. With more consistency on firepower and smart playing, she can be a force and definitely a key player soon....but yeah, for now... Ewert and DeLuzio are the two best players on the court. Schneggenburger is doing better than I expected on the RS though, and Kuehl is getting better with more experience.

I guess I’m the only one who’s not really ever been sold on Ewerts location? Every time I watch her it seems like the ball is ALWAYS too far off the net. No matter where she is setting. She does everything else well though.

With Clayton gone, I suspect UCLA sweeps, or at worst wins 3-1.

Do we know why Clayton is suspended?

Colorado has 4 net calls already in 1st set. Just giving easy points to UCLA. Seems CU always has more than their share of net calls when away from home. Do they think they will be in the air longer and aren't?

25-19 UCLA in 1st set. I bet Colorado wants those 4 net touches back. Both teams running good defense. UCLA getting more kills when it counts.
Out of 10 hitters from both teams (5 each), NOT ONE player is hitting below .200.
