While its been 20 years since either school even made the Sweet 16 it is still fun for some of us long-time fans to see these two rivals face off. Gauchos in 4.

When UCI played at UCSB the camera work sucked, you couldn't see the entire court. There was no sound and no scoreboard on the screen. The stats didn't work and halfway thru the match the video streaming failed. I hope UCSB gets their streaming in order.

One might be forgiven for thinking it's not going to change any time soon. Not sure why they don't make even small investments to improve.
I plan on checking in though, during breaks in the UCSD-Hawai'i match. I'm curious if UCSB still has a PA announcer that seems to think its proper use of the PA system to cheer on each home team point scored.

Anyone know what happened to LBSU's Kashauna Williams? She didn't have any kills and only 5 attempts.

Anyone know what happened to LBSU's Kashauna Williams? She didn't have any kills and only 5 attempts. She started but didn't play back row. After the 1st set she was hitting negative and less than a handful of attempts. Nelson played for her most of the rest of the match. Williams made an appearance late in set 2 when UCSB and Beach were tied around 18, but was ineffective and went further in the negative, and UCSB went on a long run to close the set.
Williams doesn't look injured, but she's always had an awkward looking swing so kind of hard to tell. The body language isn't good. If she isn't hurt, than maybe JMF at this point is just looking for someone who can be consistent, if not great, and provide some calming leadership. Nelson might be that.
