Annabelle Smith(MB), and MacKenzie Fidelak (Opp) have been out with illness or injuries most of the season, including in the UCLA match. Leilah Smith(MB) and Selina Xu (SS/S) had been out but were in uniform for the ASU match. E Oglivie was injured in the UCLA match and was not available for the ASU match. Per hammer , she is available for this match and will probably play L but possibly DS. Key players: Kendall Kipp, Caitie Baird Frosh to watch: Kami Miner, Sami Francis
I'd appreciate help with lineups, service orders, or injuries. If I made a mistake, post below or message me. Thanks!

We're expecting Elena Oglivie to be a go for this match. So likely Oglivie plays L, and Beaven moves back to DS, but we'll see. Possibly Hambly keeps Beaven at L to work Oglivie back into the lineup at a slower pace.

Oregon has not won against Stanford since Liz Brenner's FRESHMAN year (2011). They cancelled on us last Spring. Would be a huge mental monkey off the team's back to get it done.
GO DUCKS!

Liz Brenner's stat line Nov. 18, 2011 @ Maples Pavilion: 5 sets played, 31 kills, 3 errors, 43 attacks, .651 And she was only playing 3 rotations. A mind boggling decision as she was the team’s best passer.

Yes, I empathize with all teams struggling against Stanford. Wisconsin is 0 for forever, with 4 NCAA tournament eliminations.

Upon what basis do you expect Oglivie to be back so soon after a possible concussion protocol?

Upon what basis do you expect Oglivie to be back so soon after a possible concussion protocol? Two pieces of evidence. One, the TV announcer said before the Arizona match that Hambly was holding Oglivie out as a precautionary measure, implying she could have played. Two, she was warming up passing balls before both the ASU and AZ matches.

(tbh, not very subtle, dude)

I should add the "jinx" actually started the next year - in 2012 w/Oregon's best team ever. First match-up in Palo Alto, Oregon goes up 8-4 in the 5th and Ducks look to be in the driver's seat for not only the match but the PAC title...... Bergsma goes back to serve and never gets back to the net. Stanford closes it out on a heartbreaking 11-2 run. Ducks get hyped for the rematch in MKA, but get tripped up by Cal the night before in an archetypal trap match and then easily swept by Stanford to put us out of PAC title contention. It's just been a tragic match-up ever since. Stanford's team has been better in the period, but just raw probability we should have taken at least one if not a couple (almost all other PAC schools have....). Doesn't help that when Stanford's been down we didn't get them (2020, 2016 pre-Card lineup shift) or we were also down (2015).
