According to google images, facilities look great. They were once top of a tough Big Sky conference. I think the could attract a solid candidate. This is a surprisingly good Volleyball job. Volleyball and North Dakota do not usually go hand-in-hand. Facilities are very good and budget is adequate. Previous coach was winning conference championships and playing in NCAAs.

Probably because the salary to live in the DC area is a joke for the entire staff. I knew assistants that had to live with 4-6 other folks just to make ends meet. Hard to survive in that area for 27k for an assistant. This was several years ago, so might have improved but I know someone that got offered the head gig a while back and it was in the 60’s. Area and education should be a draw but shared facility, average locker room, lackluster weight training/sports med facilities The coaches pay part could certainly make it tough to retain good coaches, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that once you get coaches there, you should be bad. And those facilities issues… we’re talking about the A10. Yeah, Dayton and VCU are miles above everybody else, but I don’t think we would’ve seen a coaching change if GW had lost to them but were beating Rhode Island, Fordham, La Salle, etc. Posting for the job: www.higheredjobs.com/search/details.cfm?JobCode=177707831&Title=Head%20Coach%2C%20Volleyball

I'd include St. Louis is the list of teams that weren't necessary for GW to beat for the coach to keep her job.

Need to clarify... This HAS BEEN and COULD BE a surprisingly good volleyball job since North Dakota and volleyball are not often mentioned in the same sentence. Currently, this is buyer beware... On-going lawsuit from when school dropped women's hockey, recent turnover of several coaches and many questions being raised about administration....

That means they’ll probably be making sure to treat Women’s sports well in the near future because eyes will be on them if they slip up.

Admin is less then stellar which is part of the reason the previously successful coaching staff took off.

Coastal Carolina may have an assistant position opening. I heard Collins-Parker put something on Facebook about stepping away from coaching. Not sure if anyone has anymore info
