In view of the royal CF that is going on with Syracuse. Can we show some love for the job that Yellin did in Syracuse?
And some advance props for whoever gets the job, eventually? Because he/she will have to deal with the administration that made a seemingly good job look like more trouble than it is worth.

Can you give us any hints? Won't create an opening. I believe Bakeer was on campus last month, and I believe he could take the position without creating an opening. It’s conjecture but that would be my guess. |

In all honesty Yelin did a great job to make a program with with minimal funding and facilities a great team. Unfortunately, Syracuse is kind of screwed in terms of recruiting for the next two years at least hope in terms of Bakeer can get good momentum. |

Wow. Fired at Temple to Head Coach of an ACC team. I guess sometimes the best ability is availability. You have no idea how good of a coach he is. He had great success with less support than those in his conference at a very tough school to recruit to in Temple. Should have gotten an at large a few years ago and got completely screwed. He could have left Temple before but didn't and got caught up in a new AD. His best ability is not his availability...check his bio. |

Well let's hope that people give him the time to see what he can restore at Cuse, he's walking into a bad situation and we all know it. Plus the ACC is getting better.

Well let's hope that people give him the time to see what he can restore at Cuse, he's walking into a bad situation and we all know it. Plus the ACC is getting better. Seriously, good luck to him, he will struggle, but lets hope beyond hope that the Syracuse admin learned their lesson and support him. |

Tell me you don’t really know, without telling me Tell me you don’t know anything about the college hiring process without telling me you don’t know anything about the college hiring process. Everything said here is true. Bake is a really good guy. I’ve never been in his gym, but I absolutely believe he’s also a really good coach. All of that being said, coaches that get fired for not winning enough (even if volleyball people think it was unjust) don’t then get better paying jobs in better conferences. With the cluster that this hiring process was, you think somebody on Syracuse’s hiring committee knows enough about volleyball and the nuances of the sport to know Bake is actually really good and was just in a bad situation? |
