still looking -- Otero Jr College -- HC Highlands Community College -- HC and Asst coach -- team roster not complete Bard College (DIII) -- HC for MVB and WVB (2 jobs) St Mary's College of Maryland (DIII) -- HC -- announcement may be imminent Johnson and Wales (DIII) -- HC Medaille College (DIII) -- HC WVB and MVB (1 job) I was focusing on HC with this list. Forgot one -- Indiana Tech (NAIA) -- Head Coach What about Walsh (DII) in Ohio? They still do not have a head coach listed on their website. |

His daughter is still on the team? Thats a little odd. yeah, this sucks badly. The AD waited weeks after the coach resigned to post the position. Very mishandled. By the time they offered their candidate it was too late. Union is in the middle of BFE, so finding a interim would be difficult. Glad they did this rather than making a bad hire. Just wish the AD would have handled this better. Best of luck to the coach/team, tough situation for them. |

Did they fire him from Syracuse? If he was the interim head then shouldn't he at least have been the current assistant? |

And while it may never be revealed on here, what happened with Dennis and Syracuse? Someone could probably write a book about the Syracuse search someday. Not just with Dennis but throughout the process an assistant AD did not operate in good faith. |

Would you stay with an employer who said eh you're not my choice haha There may be any number of factors as to why he didn't stay at Syracuse. I don't know Steve...he may be a fantastic, up and coming volleyball coach, but to suggest he should have been interviewed and considered for the head coaching position would made their search a bigger sham. His resume at this point in his career is probably not strong enough for the new HC to consider him as first assistant - perhaps, but HC not close. Again, this isn't anything against Steve. He just doesn't have the experience yet and stepping into the role at ECU will hopefully allow him to get to the next level with time. |
