Christy would be a huge upgrade over previous York college coaching staff. Strange that she left 5Towns. Good move for Johann, this is full time position with Admin portion. Will be AD very soon! |

Notre Dame Ohio in Cleveland just had a mid season coaching change. Anybody know what happened? They posted for a new coach after the 2021 season and made a hire in Dec. I am not sure they even talked to anyone other than the person they hired. Guy they hired had been with the program and was co-head coach in 2021. Article says a national search was conducted, but I think whole thing happened in about 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Xmas. Nothing wrong with promoting from within in most cases. A former club coach of a player claimed 4 girls were "cut" from the team before the 1st game, but only one was removed from the official roster. Not a scholarship player and there may have been some unrealistic expectations of playing time. Otherwise, it seems like Kristee Porter has a pretty good reputation. |

So much for beating Union...at least Bard is still easy pickins. Ok, so you seem to like this hire so Devil's Advocate... Why is a young female with head coaching experience and strong local/regional connections not as promising to you as a young female with no head coaching experience and no local or regional connections? About 30 minutes apart, in the same league and the response to the two hires seems very different. It will be interesting to see it play out. Union way ahead of where I thought they would be with a win over Skidmore today. Skidmore struggling so far |

Bard was very interested in candidate's thoughts on diversity. One candidate was eliminated due to not having strong enough answering about developing, promoting diversity
