JB, "The team left but the bird stayed." ROFL I’m whooshed. John Cook was telling a story on the radio about when in the old Rutgers gym, a dead bird was stuck in an air vent in the locker room. The next year, when they went back, the bird was still there. The Lauren started laughing and so did coach. The wheels fell off a little, they had to go to commercial and finish the interview after.
You had to be there.

Clearly Rutgers isn’t an elite opponent but Nebraska is playing awfully well. The emergence of a RS who can score is huge, and as good or better offensive balance as anyone. I like how they’re trending.

Ok, that bird story had me laughing so hard that my grain cart driver started looking around because he thought he was doing something wrong and that made me laugh even harder haha....tears started to flow

Speaking of interviews, is there a good single place to find recordings of the weekly show with JB as well as press releases? I sometimes see them on FaceBook, and more often when someone posts a link here on VT. But I probably miss some, and would consider a subscription to any site that has them.

It’s early and the toughest conference games will ratchet up here soon. Through six conference matches as a team, Nebraska is second in the conference hitting .290 and Wisconsin is number one at .292. In opponent hitting percentages Purdue is leading the conference at .151 and Nebraska is second at .159. We also lead the conference in aces served and lead the conference in least amount of aces received. Serve and serve-receive are areas we excelled at in our final four teams and NCAA championships won. The termination numbers are better and first touches are trending better. Those players serving and serve-receive have only one senior playing currently.

I haven't found a place for replays of the radio play-by-play.

Radio replays can be found on Huskers.com/Multimedia/Audio Archives. They used to use Soundcloud, but something changed I think. You can still get A LOT of older content on soundcloud.com/huskersports though. |
