From the very little we have seen of Smrek, for blocking purposes (specifically closing) I would rather see Robinson in the middle. She seems to have the best footwork of the three and is much faster. Smrek hasn't read the block well and wasn't closing. She's fast though, and that could be solved pretty quickly. I do not think Robinson is blocking well as a middle at the pins and I do believe she'll be able to hit OOS better than Smrek from the right. Agree on this. I think Robinson has more talent in the middle, but with the current personnel is more useful on the right. You have to be able to pass to the middle, but she can also get you OOS on the right, and still run the occasional 31 set. |

I finally get to watch one of these matches without interruption. Pre-covid: miss the first set of the match. Current covid: leave work at noon WFH the afternoon. Post covid (endemic covid): Finally take the Michigans road trip. |
